Scott Embry’s Sunday Pinjarra Preview Posted on January 28, 2022January 31, 2022 | Posted by Scott Embry RACE 1 ANNA’S BOY was supported at odds on debut and ran quite well considering it was a 3 year old 0MWLY and then at start number two dropped back into a maiden and unfortunately for supporters never really got clear at a crucial stage and got home well late behind Garage Days and Total Lockdown. Strong enough effort and William Pike rarely gets held up on the same horse two starts in a row. ROMMEL’S JEUNEY is on the quick back-up from Monday meeting at Ascot and should again find the front and dictate. QUILLOW ran a great race on debut and looks a nice enough filly to follow. LUCKY LANDING has been attacking the line and now has a set of shades on. Numbers: 3 – 1 – 8 – 2 Suggested Bet – ANNA’S BOY WIN RACE 2 MY BOY CHRIS had two runs on rain affected surfaces as a 2 year old. Finished only 4L off Storm Commander, Beads and Wuhan Warrior on debut and that looks a sufficiently strong run to suggest he’ll be a big chance in this moderate maiden. Recent trial at Belmont was strong beating Lindram Walter by over 2L with a further 4L back to third. Can work across into a position and go well at his return. DAZZING DANE ran second down the straight on debut. The third horse Disco Donut was a winner Wednesday at Belmont. GOT YA has shown glimpses in the past and now Pike jumps on. SAFE REST hasn’t done much right so far this campaign. Previous preparation was better. Numbers: 3 – 8 – 5 – 6 Suggested Bet – MY BOY CHRIS WIN RACE 3 PADDY’S ART gets his chance to break through. Ran third behind Our Norman (subsequent C1 winner) and Fine Romance (subsequent maiden winner and Breeders Classic acceptor) and then finished second to O’Lara’s Prince after working to the lead from a wide gate. Should bounce into a position here and looks the one. KEEPER SWEET is knocking on the door consistently. Going really well and ready to break through. CHANG MAN never got warm first-up no trial. Trusting that he can improve back to his initial preparation levels. FEUDING is likely to need further but can sprint well fresh. Numbers: 2 – 9 – 7 – 8 Suggested Bet – PADDY’S ART WIN RACE 4 RUBY NOIR looks a real emerging filly. She’s clearly got a bit to learn but love the way she travels in her races and looks like she will stay all day. Good effort on debut and then even better at her second start when finishing off better than anything behind Poster Art and Kutsanya. Beat home subsequent maiden winner Mr Brilliant comfortably and now out to 1800m with William Pike and barrier 1 looks to have found her race. ART WARRIOR was $15 into $5 last start and ran a much improved race. Should go well again. VITAL TIMES ran well behind Eldorado River and beat home Wild Galah last start. That form held up on Wednesday at Belmont. BANJO BORE just kept coming first-up. Numbers: 12 – 1 – 8 – 2 Suggested Bet – RUBY NOIR WIN RACE 5 LADY DUCKWORTH looks well placed to score. Finished fifth in a 66+ behind Black Shadow and Reliable Star four starts ago, finished third behind Sentimental Friend and Come Right Back three starts ago and then has drawn gate 1 at her last two outings and run better than numerical form would suggest. Back in grade from 66+/60+ Graduation to a 53+ ratings race looks excellent placement. CREZEE is a hard horse to catch but on his day he can sustain a big turn of acceleration. TELL NOTHIN’ launched last start on the Scarpside. Looks an out and out stayer. SOVIET SPY took the entire length of the straight to win a C1 last start. Numbers: 3 – 2 – 5 – 1 Suggested Bet – LADY DUCKWORTH WIN RACE 6 TRIX OF THE TRADE looks like he will put on a galloping exhibition in a very, very thin edition of the Breeders Classic. Absolutely toyed with rivals first-up in a 3 year old Plate and beat some handy types that day including Beads and He’s A Sizzler. Drops down to 56.5kg, looks better suited stepping up in trip to 1400m and simply looks a cut above rivals. Genuine $1.50 pop on paper and is sure to be very popular for multi players and those doubling any Australian Open bets. Expect him to jump awfully short. HEAR ME SING can make a race of it care of his race pattern with Shaun McGruddy likely to roll him to the top and control the race. AWESOME CHATTER is proving a little frustrating. FINE ROMANCE finally broke through last start. Numbers: 1 – 2 – 3 – 4 Suggested Bet – TRIX OF THE TRADE WIN RACE 7 MISS FIELD made a splash at her WA debut for Lindsey Smith. Looked like she was travelling the winner throughout running and then at the top of the straight when straight past them under little pressure. With Valency coming out of that maiden and running well (and on show in the Breeders Classic) expect she’ll be popular with punters again. Like the look of her. O’LARA’S PRINCE can do a few things wrong but he has a serious motor. When he got clear last start he absolutely launched and won in style. Above average type. GEE FORCE will be looking for further but can sprint well fresh. NIIGATA broke her maiden well. Numbers: 7 – 1 – 2 – 8 Suggested Bet – MISS FIELD WIN RACE 8 HOLY ENCHANTMENT is clearly a horse that SJ Miller has to put a lot of time, effort and energy into. Trialled on 20 September and then wasn’t seen for almost a month while they found the right starting point for him and then when winning a 60+ 1800m event three starts later wasn’t seen again until Lark Hill trials on 25 January. Trialled well, talented type and kept out of trouble should have most of these covered. TRI FOR US looks the danger. Was a nice honest filly who looks like she can still work her way through the grades as a 4 year old mare. JADAVI has been a revelation over the last 6 months. BANDALERA MISS is a new horse under the care of Fred Kersley. Numbers: 1 – 4 – 3 – 9 Suggested Bet – HOLY ENCHANTMENT WIN Quaddie (Race 5 – 8) 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 1 1,7 1,4 Market Market
