RACE 1

LYNS DAKOTA might just be too quick for them if they allow her to run. The Leinster 1000m is a straight and Chanel Cooper can send this mare on a jump and run mission looking to run them off their legs. ZORROS AIM finished 5L off Flower of Gold / Talkaway / Zorbrist in a 1300m maiden on debut at Northam and then ran second to Fair Grace last Saturday at Leonora. Missed the kick and that’s a concern. SCHNOOTS lead early before being crossed at Leonora and that was game over for her. LE WREN next best.

RACE 2

EBONY’S ACE comes out of races at Landor carrying 71.5kg for trainer Meg Forrester, however, prior to that finished second at Mt Magnet behind Fires With That and beat home Super Salsa in a 56+. Think she can win this. PSYCHIC SESSION might be able to break them open in the middle stages. He’s still a maiden but relatively well suited to this Class B Trophy Race and his first outing on the dirt at Moora was encouraging. FAIR GRACE won well last weekend at Leonora to open her account. YOU CAN TELL ME got going late behind Sassy Roxy last week.

RACE 3

NICCOLITE won a BM64 1100 at Werribee with 60kg in June 2023, won another BM64 1100 at Seymour with 59.5kg in August 2023 and then won a BM58 1000 at The Bool with 62.5kg in March 2024. Quite simply if she turns up and handles the dirt she’s too good for these? On grass form could go up $1.30? BITOVEMU bolted in up the Leinster Straight this time last year. Always wary the proven track/distance horse on the dirt. HOT NOVA is quick and can be in front for a long way. MARCHING broke through at Moora.

RACE 4 

STAY WEALTHY was really well supported in betting last weekend at Leonora for new trainer Rickie Brown and got the job done impressively over handy dirt types Rightful Heir and Bitovemu. On the 7 day back-up to Leinster and only rises 1kg staying in the same grade. Hard to beat again. TIME TO THUNDER won this exact race in 2023 by over 3.5L under Mollie Clark. Don’t discount. SUPER SALSA has shades on and can mix form so best to ignore beaten margins. ORTUM KRISP has been thereabouts all prep.

RACE 5

SMOKEY MOUNTAIN, TALKING HEADS, STARTTHEFRIAR and ROEY CLAM ran first, second, third and fourth in the same race last weekend at Leonora. Thinking out to 1400m and kept out deep and working into the race that STARTTHEFRIAR gets his chance to turn the tables on them and win his first race since the Hannans Handicap of 2021! SMOKEY MOUNTAIN straight to the top. ROEY CLAM better suited up in distance. KICK A GOAL SON is a huge class dropper from Open Class Kalgoorlie racing to a 64+ at Leinster.

RACE 6

SOLDIER’S CAMP and IMA WILD GIRL went head to head up the home straight in the Leonora Cup last weekend and they meet here 7 days later in the Leinster Cup (and possibly next weekend in the Laverton Cup!). 1.5kg in favour of IMA WILD GIRL, the experience on the dirt and hopefully holding up and leading gives her the chance to turn the tables. SOLDIER’S CAMP gave Charlotte Skerritt a memorable first winner and Mollie Clark rode Leinster a treat last year. BUTTERLEA LAD is an iron horse who contests all the Country Cups. ROCKSTAR STATUS next best.
