Scott Embry’s Saturday Belmont Preview Posted on May 31, 2019June 2, 2019 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 STELLA DOOR found the front at Lark Hill and never looked back. Was zipping along in front and ran quality time. Should nearly find the fence and if doing so will be hard to reel in. GOTTA MOTOR certainly looks to have a Motor under the hood. Quality recent trial victory and another who can give it a shake on debut. MISS ELMYA has the race experience and is sure to be hard to beat. MIA DOLCE had nothing go right for her last week, can bounce back. Numbers: 5 – 4 – 2 – 1 Suggested Bet – STELLA DOOR WIN Race 2 FLIRTINI returned in a blaze of glory clocking the fastest 1200m of the Ascot season for the inside rail position. Was top five for the season with all rail positions included and she looks like she will make a top line filly. CRYPTIC LOVE was a really nice trial and last campaign was huge in the Pinjarra Magic Millions. CITY CIRLCE got close to a nice one last week, always there abouts. LORDHELPMERUN better suited against his own age group. Numbers: 1 – 6 – 5 – 2 Suggested Bet – FLIRTINI WIN Race 3 COME PLAY WITH ME was an effortless winner last start against a very similar bunch to what he meets here. Has been up a long time but if he can hold form he looks like building a bank late in the prep. DARK MUSKET ran second to him last start and can do so again here. NOIR DE RUE is a one batter and a grinding type, leads or sit off Saxon Saxoff. SONNEN can bob up from time to time. Numbers: 1 – 3 – 4 – 7 Suggested Bet – COME PLAY WITH ME WIN Race 4 BLACK SABBATH lead them up in a race where they broke 1:10 with ease. He was entitled to fade and should only improve for the outing. Taking on the older horses looks very well placed to notch his first win as a 3 year old. FIRE MAKER was absolutely eye catching last start from well off them. Strongest form reference for this race and can win. MILITARY RULER is in the twilight of his career but is a 76+ winner in a 64+. Has to be a winning hope. NOTTA MOCHA flopped badly last start but can improve. Numbers: 7 – 5 – 2 – 6 Suggested Bet – BLACK SABBATH WIN Race 5 KING’S AUTHORITY has been bursting to win another race. Has been a long time between drinks having won on debut as a 2 year old and is now having start number 17 but all of his runs in the last two months have been strong and he will give eachway punters a run for their money. STATE ATTORNEY continues to find one better than him every time he goes to the races but the Gates of Babylon run sectionally was excellent and the form looks good now. REGAL MOON on the quick back up can figure. FINE SCENT should improve from first-up and could cross to lead. Numbers: 7 – 13 – 2 – 1 Suggested Bet – KING’S AUTHORITY EACHWAY Race 6 GALAXY STAR was awesome first-up. She found herself in a horror position in running and was jumping out of the ground in the last 100m when she finally got clear. She should win the next three Winter Features with her eyes shut. GATTING won a Lee Steere at weight for age first-up last campaign with the shades on. Big expectations on him this prep. VITAL SILVER and GREAT SHOT can sit on the speed again and control the race. Numbers: 5 – 2 – 1 – 3 Suggested Bet – GALAXY STAR WIN Race 7 HOBOKEN has been racing consistently for a long period now and the draw allows him to settle out the back in his newly preferred position and come with one whirlwind run late. Can be the blow out at a price. DON’T FUSS actually seems to do his best when he is three deep without cover. Every chance of ending up in the cheap seats and working over the speed here. MARKET RULER is fool proof and will be in the finish. UNDISCLOSED back to Belmont is almost ready. Numbers: 7 – 11 – 2 – 6 Suggested Bet – HOBOKEN EACHWAY Race 8 TRUE ATTRACTION and LEADING GIRL clash in a battle of progressive Cerise and White three year olds. TRUE ATTRACTION chased hard behind the speedy Flirtini and LEADING GIRL ran excellently against the older horses. At the prices going with TRUE ATTRACTION who should get to the outside in the three deep train which suits. LEADING GIRL obviously extremely hard to beat but will need luck at some stage. GREY ENIGMA on the quick back up drawn soft with no weight can run another cheeky one. TONKATUFF is racing below his best but capable on his day. Numbers: 13 – 11 – 10 – 3 Suggested Bet – TRUE ATTRACTION EACHWAY Quaddie (Race 5 – 8) 2,7,13 5 2,6,7,9,11 11,13 Market Market
