Chris’ Rosehill Best Bets Posted on February 2, 2018 | Posted by Chris Nelson Chris Nelson’s Preview RACE 1 No. 5 Sheikha Waterhouse/Bott trained filly who although only a winner at 1 of her 5 starts to date has been competitive in stronger 2yo and 3yo races. Her last 3 starts have been a dominant Maiden win, a placing in the Kindergarten behind Property and Condor Heroes before a last start unplaced effort beaten just over 5 lengths in Listed grade at Moonee Valley back in the early spring. She meets the older horses for the first time here however has trialled well for her return and gets the services of Avdulla. RACE 5 No. 12 Kopi Luwack No luck whatsoever at Randwick last start behind the stablemate Acquittal pulling up lame post-race and giving that runner 6kg only going down by a length on the line. That was some effort and back down to 56kg tomorrow from the inside gate should gain a cosy run and turn the tables. Does look the best of the day, even money would be nice! SuperPick - RACE 5 No. 12 Kopi Luwack - Win Boost RACE 9 No. 8 Don’t Give A Damn Lightly raced galloper from the Danny Williams stable resuming from a break tomorrow. He’s won 3 of his 4 starts to date with the only defeat being an unlucky one behind Suncraze here last year by only a narrow margin. From the good alley he’ll be straight up onto the pace, the likes of Kaonic who appears his main danger will be giving away a big start.
