RACE 2 No. 1 Sambro

Chris Waller trained colt who returns to Benchmark company following a solid performance placing here at Listed level 3 weeks back over this distance. After Lee Magorrian’s claim tomorrow he’ll carry only a kilo more than that effort and only half a kilo more than when placed here in similar grade to this two starts back. Placed on Soft ground which will be important on tomorrow’s rain affected track he looks ready to break through.

RACE 5 No. 10 Pumpkin Pie

Backs up off a completely luckless effort in the feature Highway race here last Saturday when heavily backed and unable to find clear running at any stage in the straight going to the line completely untested. Beaten less than 4 lengths in the Group 2 Premiere behind In Her Time is a strong formline with that mare subsequently scoring also last Saturday. Gets her chance to win.

Very consistent colt who although only won the single race from 8 tries has never been far from the action. He’s chased the very smart Viridine home at both runs this time in and with that runner not in tomorrow’s field he’ll get his chance for an overdue win. The track conditions won’t be an issue as he’s performed well on all types of going to date.
