Interesting runner from the Brett Cavanough stable out at Scone who was backed as if unbeatable on debut when just falling in to score in a Class 2 Highway race at Rosehill back in August. They must have a fair opinion of him as his next outing was in the Group 3 San Domenico when although clocking in last was beaten only 7 lengths which was a solid effort in that company. 1000m suits tomorrow fresh, should there be market support I’d be following it.

RACE 7 No. 5 Eusebio

Godolphin galloper who shows good potential having won the Canberra Guineas last prep in good style. Trialled ok before getting too far back here first up, liked the way he hit the line late and the step up to 1400m will only suit. Don’t expect him to sit close in the run however he will again be cutting back the ground at the business end.

Newcastle trained mare who has also accepted on the Gold Coast however she needs four scratchings to make that field. Unbeaten both runs this time in Canterbury and the latest at Randwick closing off strongly late to overhaul then run clear of the early leaders. 1400m shouldn’t pose a problem however getting a decent price could.
