Northam 20 January – Greyhounds Preview Posted on January 19, 2016January 20, 2016 | Posted by David Shortte David Shortte’s Preview Race 4 No. 4 Romeo Jakit Race 6 No. 2 Texan Star Has made a splash since arriving in WA with his 3 starts here resulting in 2 wins and a second. On Saturday night accounted for a very smart lineup in the Summer Chase final over the 647 metres at Mandurah and a similar effort in a race of this nature would see him awfully hard to beat. Having his first start at this venue but has enough early pace to sit handy and with even luck in running will be the one to beat. Race 7 No. 3 Casual Steak Capable bitch who has been racing well with her last couple resulting in placings here in harder races in the good times of 17.49 and 17.37. Has raced well from this box in the past and this is a deal easier than the free to all events she has met in the last little bit. Looks well placed here and with a speedy getaway will prove the dog to catch. Race 8 No. 6 Ksenya Has made a promising start to her career with 3 starts for 2 wins and a placing. At her only race start at this venue led all the way to win her Maiden here over the 509 metres in a slick 29.63. Has since won at Mandurah over the 405 metres in 23.07 and been placed in 23.01. Looks above average and I expect her to take a stack of beating in this event.
