The Taipans are rolling and are making a late bid to make the play-offs!

This league has changed so rapidly in the past month with the Taipans going 5 and 3 their past eight games and United retuning to form with a hatrick of wins which followed a dismal 2-7 run.  They maybe top of the table but there are still some question marks around United who return to Cairns with the series locked at 1-1. United took care of Cairns in Melbourne (89-80) before losing to Cairns in Cairns (82-70).  Cairns will want to make this a scrap and with plenty of humidity about, may well get away with this match before heading back to Melbourne for the return bout on Friday.

Prediction

Again it is all about the best home court advantage in the league.  The Taipans have won eight home games and are coming off two great wins over Perth (71-61) and Townsville (75-61) last week.  As predicted United got away with a high scoring shootout at home against the Hawks (97-96).  United will not get the space they desire and expect Cairns to clog it up and get away with the points in a low scoring affair.
