Michael McDermott’s Weekend Greyhound Preview Posted on July 7, 2017 | Posted by Michael McDermott Mandurah Friday 7th July 2017 Race 4 – No. 7 Black Herc SuperPick – Money Back, Run 2nd. Rewarded for consistency with a last start victory in good time at Cannington in 30.14. Has a liking for wide draws and is capable of leaving the boxes in a hurry. A win would not surprise back at his favourite track. Race 9 – No. 3 Blue Print Lad He has been costly to follow, with his last victory well back in early April but he should find this easier than recent outings and he has been posting some solid times. He is worth giving one more chance in this line up. Race 10 – No. 4 Mirror Man Although the time he posted on debut wasn’t flash, he still managed to overcome the poor draw and a slow start to lead all the way. Will be fitter for the run and he has gone as quick as 27.88 here when qualifying in late April. Tough to beat again from the improved draw. Bet Now! Cannington Saturday 8th July 2017 Race 4 – No. 1 Equanimity Slick beginner who has jumped from this draw twice in the past, winning once which happened to be in the Group 1 Perth Cup. Hasn’t had the best of luck in recent runs but gets his chance to make amends in this. Race 9 – No. 8 Honcho Monelli SuperPick Profit Plus 20% (Win) Best to forget he went around last week when finding a massive amount of early trouble in a Paradise Street Trophy heat. Go on his strong win on debut over the trip when saluting from this very draw in 35.13 when racing prominently throughout. The one to beat. Race 10 – No. 2 Yuup Back to his best with an all the way win in easier at Northam on Monday, posting a smart 29.61. This is the only draw he hasn’t won from but he looks set to change that here. He will be hard to run down.
