Scott’s Saturday Belmont Preview Posted on July 7, 2017 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 OCEAN JEWEL can remain undefeated in a moderate field of juveniles. HONORFIC has been solid in both outings at this trip. SKINNEN TINS was a handy little trial leading into her debut. THE SHOE has more than enough ability to win. Numbers: 9 – 4 – 11 – 2 Suggested Bet – OCEAN JEWEL WIN Race 2 FRIARESQUE has been screaming out for this trip and further. He should improve sharply and go very close. DETANGO is a minor question mark at 1400m. Not convinced she sees the trip out. CHECKERS should be there for a long way. PINBALL WIZARD faces his toughest test to date. Numbers: 6 – 1 – 3 – 10 Suggested Bet – FRIARESQUE WIN SuperPick - Race 2 No. 6 FRIARESQUE - Profit Plus – 25% (Win) Race 3 POP HERO has been completely luckless at both outings this preparation. This looks more than winnable for him. I AM INCREDIBLE should park just off the speed and give a big sight. KRAMDEN is over the odds for a horse who will be out in front and rolling over 1000m. GOLD SHIMMER should get a soft run. Numbers: 2 – 10 – 5 – 1 Suggested Bet – POP HERO WIN Race 4 MAJINIKA only seems to win at 1200m when fresh. He is a month between runs and looks to get his own way out in front. MAD BRAD gets one final chance simply because Jarrad Noske goes on. PROCEEDWITHCAUTION has been riddled with issues and must lump the grandstand to win but he is capable. CANDLELIGHT STAR has all the gear ripped off him for a new stable, watch. Numbers: 2 – 6 – 1 – 3 Suggested Bet – MAJINIKA WIN Race 5 JETOOMY should get a much more economical run than last time out from barrier 3. Expect him to settle closer to the speed and give a big sight. NOT AGAIN KEN seemed to relish the distance at his first attempt at 2000m. NO SAY IN IT looks to have struck a much more winnable race than the Listed Aquinita Stakes. SCOONER didn’t get the best of luck last start, willing to forgive. Numbers: 10 – 4 – 12 – 13 Suggested Bet – JETOOMY EACHWAY Race 6 VARIATION versus GATTING is one of the most talked about WA 3 year old encounters in recent times. I’ll side with VARIATION who is a query at 2000m but if ridden aggressively should get a head start over his main rival. GATTING the obvious second elect and likely favorite. JACKPOT PRICE who will stay all day. CRIMSON’S ROCKET who is a maiden but looks suited at this distance. Numbers: 1 – 2 – 6 – 11 Suggested Bet – VARIATION WIN Race 7 FONTAINEBLEAU looks to be the best staying proposition in this field of fillies. Should park midfield with cover and run over the top. FAST AS THE WIND looks on paper to potentially be the only danger to the favorite. VAIN STRYKER ran a cheeky race in the Listed Natasha over this distance. JOYOUS AFFAIR seems to go for Mattieu Autier and nobody else. Numbers: 3 – 7 – 2 – 12 Suggested Bet – FONTAINEBLEAU WIN Race 8 GANGBUSTER drops sharply in class and gets the services of W.Pike. If he brought his best top end 3 year old form he would go mighty close. LUKE’S GOLD rises sharply in weight but is a Belmont specialist and a horse on the rise. GRANLARADO ran an eye catcher first-up last weekend. POLITICS could run a race fresh off a month. Numbers: 11 – 5 – 4 – 8 Suggested Bet – GANGBUSTER EACHWAY Quaddie (Race 5-8) 1,4,7,8,10,12,13 1,2 3,7 4,5,11 Bet Now
