Michael McDermott’s Weekend Greyhound Preview Posted on July 9, 2021July 9, 2021 | Posted by Michael McDermott Mandurah Friday, 9th July 2021 Race 4 – No. 7 Classy Riot Gallant in defeat on resumption to racing last week, finishing a nose behind DO YOU DIG (2) in 22.61. Fitter for the run and has one of his favourite draws. Go very close again. Race 5 – No. 3 Hazelhurst Back to back winner in this company and similar three and four runs ago when leading all the way. A winner in just 1 of 10 from this draw is a concern but if she lands in front early, she will take a power of beating again. Race 6 – No. 3 Barefoot Tycoon Racing well without much luck of late and will appreciate the improved draw at his second outing over this trip. Can’t afford to get himself involved in any tight tussles in running but if he can find clear, open air, he’ll can give himself every chance of taking home the top prize. Each Way: Race 8 – No. 4 Lily Monelli Added by speedy beginners to her inside. If she can find the fence early and stay out of trouble, she will be thundering home with paw-steps. Quaddie (Race 5 to 8): 2.3.6 / 1.3.4.6 / 1.4 / 2.3.4 $50 for 69.44% Bet Now! Bet Now! Cannington Saturday, 10th July 2021 Race 4 – No. 2 Serong All three wins have been impressive, albeit in easier and from wider draws than this. Has shown the early toe to suggest he can find the front and hold the lead. Only needs his main rivals to bunch up on the first turn and from then on, he will be hard to run past. Race 5 – No. 2 Redcap Monelli Dropping back to the 520m for the first time in two months. Does his best work over this trip and he has drawn ideally in stripes. Should get an ideal run in behind early and overhaul the leaders with authority at the business end. Race 10 – No. 1 Beck’s Monelli Mixing form at varying Tracks/Distances but back to a more suitable draw and will find this company more to her liking. The only Grade 4 runner in this line up and should continue working her way through the grades with haste. Each Way: Race 6 – No. 7 Lee Ali Better known for her efforts over longer but she has yet to miss the podium in three outings at the Track/Distance and she does have a good record from this draw. Will be running on late in search of the main chunk of the prizemoney. Quaddie (Race 5 to 8): 2.5 / 1.2.4.7 / 1.4.6 / 2 $50 for 208.33% Trifecta – Race 5 2.5 / 1.2.5.7 / 1.2.3.5.7 $ 30 for 166.66% First Four – Race 8 2 / 1.3.7.8 / 1.3.7.8 / 1.3.4.5.7.8 $50 for 104.16% Bet Now! Mandurah Sunday, 11th July 2021 Race 7 – No. 6 Botanica Resuming from a lengthy stint on the sidelines but showed enough when last in work that suggests she’ll give a good sight over the shorter trip. Worth an Each Way ticket at her comeback. Race 8 – No. 6 Spolly Bear In search of a hat trick after back to back wins in solid times over the trip from this draw and wider. Up in grade but can go on with the job with a similar effort. Race 12 – No. 7 Butcher Bird Yet to win in four outings from this draw but they were all over shorter and at the beginning of her racing career. Recent runs have been full of merit and a return to her best form would not surprise in this line up. Bet Now! Bet Now!
