Matt Young’s Tuesday Narrogin Preview Posted on January 28, 2025January 28, 2025 | Posted by Scott Embry Race 1 HOLD THE AMMO (6) has shown good promise in his career but is still learning the caper, he could overcome the wide draw and think we could see an even better version of him throughout this preparation. THE KHUKRI (7) has come back well and will watch things unfold and can have the last crack at them, form is solid. LAZARUS STAR (3) can burn to the top and will run a bold race but just keeps finding one better. GELSOMINO AMAL (1) has the nice draw to get the soft run on return, novelty chance. Tips: 6 7 3 1 Suggested Bet: HOLD THE AMMO (6) to win. Race 2 TIGER LOU (1) has been racing in decent form but without much luck, she gets the good draw and can burn through and lead here and will take a power of beating. BLOCKJORG (7) will require a touch of luck because of the draw but is ready to win. JOEY JAMES (5) drops in grade and is capable of a forward showing in this. PUSHBUTTON ROCK (3), SKIPPIN CLASS (2) both place hopes from their decent draws. Tips: 1 7 5 3 Suggested Bet: TIGER LOU (1) to win. Race 3 CAPTAINS BEACHBABE (7) has been racing well since resuming and has got the versatility required to overcome the draw, expect her to make a move into the race at some stage. HIGHLY FLAMMABLE (8) has been racing well enough, found it difficult in the track record run of the Albany Cup behind Hillview Storm, can run well here. ISAIDBOO (3) and ROCKIN THE TREND (2) are both racing well and look novelty chances. BATAVIA STORM (5) creates interest with the new stable, watch the market. Tips: 7 8 3 2 Suggested Bet: CAPTAINS BEACHBABE (7) to win Race 4 SPORT SPORT SPORT (2) returns and has a lovely draw, has good early speed and is a brilliant front runner, looks hard to beat here. BEYOND BLING (9) has good closing speed and has been racing well, can overcome the draw and get into the money. YOU FLY WITH ME (1) not at his best but with the draw is a novelty player. EYE BETTER (5) may have to do some work and not at her absolute best as of late. ADMIRAL DARCY (8) will be closing off well and is a novelty chance. Tips: 2 9 1 8 Suggested Bet: SPORT SPORT SPORT (2) to win. Race 5 FEELING EMPATHY (2) has been racing in stands, which she hasn’t been agreeing with, she was a better effort on Friday but ultimately moving back to the mobile she has good early speed and has the good draw to potentially lead and run a bold race at odds. TRITTRITTBANGBANG (4) has good early speed and may have a little look. ZUEDE (5) can’t do much work but expecting him to run on well. SANFORD BART (6) is mixing his form, but his best is good enough. VYBRANT (1) can be a funny type but is ideally drawn to be in the money. Tips: 2 4 6 1 Suggested Bet: FEELING EMPATHY (2) each way. Race 6 A DUKE TO BE (4) drops in grade massively and should just win this. DEE JAYS BIG BOY (6) has caught the eye with his last two efforts and expect him to be finishing strongly for the novelties. BRIGGS ON BOND (7) caught my eye last time out and should be getting to peak fitness here. ELEPHANT ROCK (8) has been racing well since his freshen up and can run into the novelties. THE REAL MIKOY (3) needs to lift on recent form. Tips: 4 6 7 8 Suggested Bet: BRIGGS ON BOND (7) to place. Race 7 FUNKY MUSIC (2) has been racing well from poor draws, she has plenty of early speed and she should burn through to lead and from there she should go very close to winning, keen. SONIC SEELSTER (7) drawn beautifully, drops in grade on Friday’s run and can be dangerous late if getting a clear run. SANFORD HARRY (5) will be suited by the smaller field, should finish the race off strongly. JAMIE KIM (6) was solid two starts ago, comes in fresh here and can run on into the novelties. AMARETTO ANGEL (3) can mix her form, but she is good enough to run a better race, as long as she is not breezing. Tips: 2 7 5 6 Suggested Bet: FUNKY MUSIC (2) to win. Market Market
