Matt Young’s Monday Pinjarra Preview Posted on April 7, 2025April 7, 2025 | Posted by Matt Young Race 1 QUIGGLEY (5) is a talented trotter and when he does it correctly, he is very hard to hold out, his sectionals and depth shine brightly and if he does it correctly today, he is your winner. LINE THE STARZZZ (6) is a consistent performer and should be considered a chance in this on each way scale. CHUMANI (8) is racing well but may be handicapped out of it, being off the 50m. UPTOWN LAD (7) was better last run and can go on with it. BEE BEE BEROC (1) a novelty chance. Tips: 5 6 8 7 Suggested Bet: QUIGGLEY (5) to win. Race 2 STAPLETON (3) comes into the perfect draw, 2 of his last 3 runs have been solid and he’s got good gate speed to boot, has options and looks to go close in this. SUNPATRA (8) has upside in this race, class suits and he will go well. BEALAWYER (6) will be running on well and from the draw, shouldn’t be too far off them. TELKEM JAY (4) can mix his form, but his best is capable. COURAGE OF LOMBO (7) needs to lead to win and I don’t think she can. THE BATMOBILE (9) won last start but the draw is infinitely harder, and I just don’t see how he can get into the race today and think he is unders. Competitive lightning lap. Tips: 3 8 6 4 Suggested Bet: STAPLETON (3) each way. Race 3 CAMS BOULDER (3) has come back in tremendous form and has shown good gate speed this time in, he has options from the draw, looks a brilliant each way play in this. CABERNEIGH (5) is first up for the strong Jocelyn Young stable and has an abundance of gate speed, depending on how forward he is, he will be run a big race. GAITCRASHER (6) can do work and is most likely going to the aggressor in this, his form has been good since resuming. DAT LOVELY (1) is a novelty chance with SEAGRASS (8) from their respective good draws. Tips: 3 5 6 8 Suggested Bet: CAMS BOULDER (3) each way. Race 4 FOLLOW MY STRIDE (4) has plenty of early speed and the three inside aren’t brilliant out and I expect her to dash across and lead, looks hard to beat on an each way basis over the mile. ICY COLD (12) was bold after sitting three wide the trip in a lightning lap, she will need to be good from the draw but is showing more depth. MADAM MAGGIE (10) was better last time out and can continue the improvement. BONSTAR (5) can be an improver second up, was solid on return. GO HOME JO (1) is a first 4 contender at big odds with VYBRANT (3) and PUSHBUTTON ROCK (11). Tips: 4 12 10 5 Suggested Bet: FOLLOW MY STRIDE (4) each way. Race 5 JOEY JAMES (3) has been solid but unlucky in his last two efforts, he has plenty of early speed and thought he could charge across here for the lead, options from there but looks a good each way play. RAJAH ROCKS (12) will have to overcome a tricky draw but has good depth and sustainability about his closing speed. MONEY TIME MADNESS (6) has come back well and should be kept safe in this. EYE BETTER (11) will be running on well. THE FREELANCER (1), GOLD HORSESHOE (2) and CALL TO ARMS (10) all considerations for novelties. Tips: 3 12 6 11 Suggested Bet: JOEY JAMES (3) each way. Race 6 NOBLE THORONDOR (11) has come back with zero luck but has been screaming for a run in both of his performances, looks ready to win and happy to be with him. I must say, slightly concerned that Gary Hall Jnr has elected to drive ELITE FLEET (2) ahead of my on top selection, but I can understand why, this horse did things wrong on debut, but trials have been good and has the better draw, looks the one I am most afraid of. WICKED WINDERMERE (5) is improving nicely and looks a solid chance but likely must do the work again. THE BETTOR SIDE (6) will be further improved, and his best is capable. LOU LAMOUR (12) will have to work with a tricky draw and is short enough from there. DUNCAN TWENTYTWO (3) and BOUJEE BOY (8) could be considered for novelties in this. Tips: 11 2 5 6 Suggested Bet: NOBLE THORONDOR (11) each way. Race 7 KINGSEAT (11) has been racing at the peak of his powers and showing good solid depth in the way of his performances and victories, last run was good, and he can watch things unfold early before being threatening in the middle to late stages. INFINITE MERIT (7) is second up and has that advantage, likely to head forward and is a solid chance to work to the front. TORREVEAN PINKY (1) is ideally drawn and a solid place chance. TILLY SWIFT (8) should be included into novelties, respect the trainer and the draw. YANKEE LINCOLN (4) is a novelty chance with SONIC CHIP (10). Tips: 11 7 1 8 Suggested Bet: TORREVEAN PINKY (1) to place. Race 8 LONGREACH BAY (2) has been in tremendous form; he looks the leader and will be mighty hard to run down again. BLAZING REACTOR (5) has closing speed which is elite for this level of horse, he will be camped close enough to them with benefit of the small field and then be very dangerous late. MADAM PUBLISHER (3) has a tricky little draw, she was good last start, but map wise this looks a little bit harder. HEAVENLY WAGE (1) looks a novelty chance from the good draw. FOLLOW ROCKNROLL (7) is racing well but looks tough from out there. Tips: 2 5 3 1 Suggested Bet: LONGREACH BAY (2) to win. Market Market
