Race 1

SUNNYS LITTLE ROSE (9) was unlucky not to win the Trotters Cup in her last run, she has been in top consistent form and looks well placed to get the job done here. QUIGGLEY (7) can run the sectionals required to win the race but can be hit and miss with his gait, keep him safe. BETTY BOOTZ OFF (6) also can mix her gait, but form has been improving and should be considered for the novelties with PEACHEE (8) who can improve and MAJESTIC MARION (5) who goes up in grade but was decent last time out.

Suggested Bet: SUNNYS LITTLE ROSE (9) to win.

Race 2

BOGART (10) is first up in 4 and a half years; he has plenty of ability and should be respected on the comeback trail. INTERNAL WAVES (1) is better suited from the ideal draw and can run a bold race here. CIGANDA (3) is improving nicely and looks a solid chance from a decent draw. ALTA EXPRESS (7) can do the work at both ends but will have to do his fair share in the run. MIKI WINDERMERE (8) can bounce back after a disappointing last effort, likely to get a strong run throughout. SWITCH BLADE (12) is a novelty chance but looks tough from the draw.

Suggested Bet: INTERNAL WAVES (1) each way.

Race 3

Open race. METEOROID (5) had no luck last time out and still hit the line well, looks suited in this and is knocking on the door, hard to beat. GHOSTWRITER (9) can do it at both ends in these lightning lap events and looks a strong danger. LUHRSY (6) can lob handy to them and be a novelty chance with SWEET DUNCAN (8) and BEALAWYER (7). COHLIN (10) can win but he will need to cross from the wide draw.

Tips: 5 9 8 6

Suggested Bet: METEOROID (5) to win.

Race 4

INSTA GATOR (1) has the lovely draw and after a freshen up he has had a couple of runs to tighten him up and run a big race here, he has options from the draw, go well. BLAZE ON (8) comes in fresh and is a major player, especially if the 1 holds the lead. HILLVIEW BONDI (3) drops back to a Monday event and can be driven like the best horse; he could find the top and will roll along and perform well. MONTANA GLORY (7) is not the worst with her early speed but looks a touch difficult from the draw and depth of the race. SHOWPONY (12) can watch things unfold and make decisions in the run, not the worst. Good competitive race.

Suggested Bet: INSTA GATOR (1) to win.

Race 5

SOHO SHAKEDOWN (1) gets another great opportunity, he has the speed to lead and after his defeat last week I am expecting to bounce back and get the victory. LORD TITANIUM (6) is coming in fresh and has been racing in top class form, he can do some work and will perform strongly. COLORADO BANNER (2) returns and has a lovely draw to get a soft run, novelty chance. ALWAYSBFRANK (7) goes up in grade and from a tough draw, nice run last start, but novelty chance looks best. BLOCKJORG (8) is ideally drawn and can be placed but she is mixing her form this time in.

Tips: 1 6 2 8

Suggested Bet: COLORADO BANNER (2) to place.

Race 6

BETTOR ARCADE (1) has the perfect draw and looks the winner on paper for this grade, he looks the leader and will be very hard to beat. PRINCESS KATIE (2) could get a good run and be close enough, she will be dangerous late. MAJOR FREEWAY (5) was solid in his last effort and the big mountain of a horse can run into the novelties from the tricky draw. GOLD HORSESHOE (8) is a novelty chance if he can hold the good position from the draw. AUCKLAND JET (10) will be running on well, novelty chance.

Suggested Bet: BETTOR ARCADE/PRINCESS KATIE to Quinella

Race 7 

BLAZE AWAY (10) was strong in his last win, that was first up and looks fitter for that effort. His sections from last week were first class. Can be driven assertively and be the one to beat. RAJAH ROCKS (7) can be driven forward strongly and could get across to the front and although up in grade, he could become the big danger. NO NONEY (11) will be hoping for a genuine tempo, he will be powering home with his usual closing speed. EE JAY WHY (4) has improved and is a novelty chance with KINGSEAT (8) who needs an element of luck in the run.

Tips: 10 7 11 8

Suggested Bet: NO NONEY (11) to place.

Race 8 

FOLLOW MY STRIDE (1) has hit a purple patch of form and has the lovely draw again, she is showing brilliant zest early and has options in this, no reason she cannot win again. AT THE POINTY END (9) has come back well and looms as a strong chance again. HIGHVIEW HEIDI (10) returns and was a good filly last prep, keep safe in this. RONALD SCOTT (11) can do the work required and will be close enough to them, go well. BALINGUP BOY (12) will be running on but needs some luck again from the draw. SUKHOVEY WINDSTORM (2) and HES A COOL MACH (8) can be included in first 4’s from their respective soft draws.

Tips: 1 9 11 10

Suggested Bet: FOLLOW MY STRIDE (1) each way.

Race 9

APOLOGIZE (1) returned in bold fashion last time out and has a lovely draw, looks to be fitter for the first up effort and has options, strong each way chance here. LORD PUBLISHER (7) has been racing well and can be driven assertively here but wouldn’t want to take to short a quote about him. MYDADTHETERROR (6) is racing soundly, each way. ZUEDE (8) ideally drawn, goes up in grade and looks more of a place chance here. AMERICAN JUBILEE (9) rises in grade and could go around under the odds with the inform stable.
