Race 1

BEE BEE BEROC (7) is on the back up from being a distant last in the Trotters Cup on Friday night, he bombed the start, which is something he doesn’t do often, with a safe getaway and at the short course and with an overall drop in grade I think he can run a good race. QUIGGLEY (9) is the testing material, but he will come up short and can do things wrong, if he does do everything right it will be very hard to beat him. BONNIE RAE (8) is a strong novelty chance. BETTY BOOTZ OFF (10) looks next best, she has ability but can be tricky to catch. THE BEAT (1), LAVRADORE (3), IM GAVOCHE (4), MAXWILL SMART (5) and PEACHEE (12) are all back-end novelty players.

Suggested Bet: BEE BEE BEROC (7) each way.

Race 2

SPANGLED FELLA (5) was solid in his return run and should be fitter for that effort, looks a big drop in grade and can get the job done here. INTERNAL WAVES (3) has the speed to get forward and looks likely to lead and give them something to chase. SONGSTER (6) will run a bold race here and get home well. JACK MANNIX (2) is going ok and is a novelty chance.

Tips: 5 3 6 2

Suggested Bet: SPANGLED FELLA (5) to win.

Race 3

METEOROID (4) hit the line well last start and overall form has been solid and looks suited in this, strong each way chance. STRAYLYA (7) continues to improve and will have to overcome the wide draw but the form has held up well from the last run and looks dangerous. ZUEDE (3) will position up close and be running on late. TRITTRITTBANGBANG (2) can run a bold race with a solid draw. SPINNER OF YARNS (5) has had a few opportunities as of late. BEALAYWER (6) and IM DRINKINDOUBLES (8) have been just in behind them lately and are not the worst at odds. Play wider in the quaddie.

Suggested Bet: METEOROID (4) each way.

Race 4

GHOSTWRITER (3) has the nice draw and form to be finding the top here and proving hard to beat, the horse is knocking on the door. SHEHADI (1) has options from the draw, I thought they would go the softer option and be using the sprint lane late. TIGER LOU (5) hasn’t had much luck as of late and can figure in today’s race along with the stablemate MYDADTHETERROR (7) who moves to the mobile after racing in only stands so far in his WA career. JAMIE KIM (6) will be running on and can be considered for novelty purposes.

Tips: 3 1 5 7

Suggested Bet: GHOSTWRITER (3) to win.

Race 5

BETTOR ARCADE (6) is fitter for the first up effort and should get the job done here but will be very short in the market. ACUTO (7) is dropping in grade and can run a stronger race here and is a solid novelty chance. AMARETTO ANGEL (1) is ideally drawn and improves when she is on the rails. HES A COOL MACH (2) will strip fitter for the first up effort. BARBADOS (5) has been consistent and can run into the top 4.

Tips: 6 7 5 2

Suggested Bet: ACUTO (7) to place.

Race 6

BLAZING REACTOR (6) has a ridiculously good turn of foot and it doesn’t seem to matter where he is in the run, he will close off in quick sections and either win or go mighty close. I think he will get the job done here. ALWAYSBFRANK (1) looks the leader and can roll along, novelty chance. BLAZE COOPS (8) will be the beneficiary of that, she will get the perfect run and a strong crack at them late. HENRIK LARSSON (2) was solid in his return run against a solid field in the Northam Cup, drawn well and should be kept safe.

Tips: 6 8 1 2

Suggested Bet: BLAZING REACTOR (6) to win.

Race 7 

I AM SIAM (3) has shown promise and comes in second up today with a notable draw advantage over some of his main rivals, looks hard to beat in this. STAR OF THE GALAXY (7) has a wide draw to overcome but as we have noted before, he has had many opportunities. PINEAPPLE (6) is a chance, mixes his form but his best is up to these. AMERICAN JUBILEE (4) has trialled up okay for this and likely to be strongly thought of racing in the in-form Jocelyn Young stable.

Tips: 3 7 6 4

Suggested Bet: I AM SIAM (3) to win.

Race 8 

BY GEE BY JINGO (2) is short but showed enough promise last preparation to suggest he can return and get a win here. CHIEF COPY (8) needs some luck following out a slow beginner but will be running on strongly. SWEET DUNCAN (11) sat close to a decent speed last time out and has been racing soundly, he will run on well. REMARKABLE ROCK (10) likely to be finishing the race off solidly. DISPATCHER (5) needs some luck from the draw but is capable of a strong finish.

Tips: 2 8 11 10

Suggested Bet: CHIEF COPY (8) to place.
