Harry Buchanan’s Wednesday Greyhound Tips

CANNINGTON

Race 7 No. 5 Soul’s Glory and No. 8 Scared Lomar

Couple of these will go at it for the arm here and trouble could ensue. The 5 won’t be one of them. Starts that run of his up the back and hits the line well and has a great record here track and trip. The 8 is the smoky. If he rushed over with little fuss he would be a threat. Can handle a wide draw.

Race 8 No. 4 Fortified Mack

I have some time for this dog. She is very good and progressive and her win on Saturday was dominant. Steps up the the 600m here for the first time but she won’t have any issues with it and only has to handle the corner start to have a major say in the result. Follow.

Race 11 No. 1 Absolute Fun

She doesn’t win many but gee she gets every possible hope here off the draw. Capable of stepping and holding the arm and if she does I just don’t know what can run her down here. Gets a map that has an invitation attached and can’t be afforded any more chances if she doesn’t perform here.

Race 12 No. 5 Elite Judan and No. 3 Youthful Spirit

The best two dogs in this should fight it out. It comes down to the 5 getting the arm which means she should go all the way then, unless the 3 sits on her tail in which case we have a race. The 5 has some early-splitters inside her so that levels this up but one of them should be getting it done here.

THE MEADOWS

Race 8 No. 7 Darnum Diva

Big, big class drop here. Can step, she sticks on and can reel off a last section. A clean cross is all that’s required here and she then becomes the one to beat. If that results in her finding the arm, she will be unstoppable. Looks a great chance.

WENTWORTH PARK

Race 4 No. 8 Showman Jack

Two-dog race. While he looked disappointing last time, he was pushed wide and held up through the top when running 4th. Entitled to do a bit more but he’s much better than that and has ridiculous talent when he’s on. Expect him to deliver more this time. The 4 the only danger with even luck.

Race 9 No. 1 Here Comes Buddy

He’s a smokie’s hope here off the good draw. Has broken 30 and can sustain a solid run home when clear. Map looks good and if he lands handy off the box he can hit top-two.

Race 10 No. 7 Canya Smoke Them

This dog will come out and do something crazy on the clock one day. If that’s tonight, these don’t stand a chance. His box manners are the part he need to sort as he has electric muster and is well placed out wide. If he crosses, watch the old semaphore board. He will run these into the ground. Betting on the run to the first turn here. That’s all.
