CANNINGTON

Race 3 No. 4 Kenny Keeping and No. 2 Lenny Coaster

If the 4 can navigate his way around the middle running dog in 3 and do it early, he’s a threat here. He’s not going as bad as it looks for this type of race. The 2 needs the arm and she might get it for the same reasons the 4 needs to miss the 3. Will get the room and can step. One of these should get the favours.

Race 5 No. 1 Poppy Tahleia

Another who has a plum draw here courtesy of the 2 who ducks off as bad as you will see into the back. Anything outside the 2 dog early will be wiped out wholesale as they leave the corner and that will give the red every hope to be off and gone. Can lead and can win.

Race 6 No. 1 Thumbs Emoji

The worse thing he can do here is find some early speed and good box manners. He’s better off doing his usual and walking out with the several who want the arm here. It could get messy at that first turn and he needs to be smoking the pipe and waiting for the run to appear. Needs some luck for it to occur but a definite place threat at least if he lands close into the back.

Race 7 No. 4 Cash Monelli

This is easier than recent runs and he’s stepping well lately. Box is fine and a good step and some early dash can set this up for him to hop on to the arm. If he does, it’s curtains. Great show here if he comes out running.

Race 9 No. 8 Stranger Within and No. 1 Small Demeanour

A couple at odds who can surprise. The 8 has good muster and while the corner start may not be enough for him to use that turn of foot, he can step so that will offset the short run to the back. If he crosses they won’t get him. The 1 has a great record when he draws the fence and he can begin as well. If he stepped his best he is a chance to hold up and he is hard to get past when out and running. Both each way hopes at least.

Race 10 No. 2 Surprised Fun and No. 8 Horoscope

If she can’t lead this, then two things for the dog in box 2. The first, she can’t win, the next, she can’t be backed again until she starts stepping again. She will either lead and bolt or no lead and run close to last. The 8 will be the early challenger and if she gets over they all have the job ahead. She can lead or come from just off them and she’s racing well. Danger in this no doubt.

THE MEADOWS

Race 6 No. 4 Kadence Bale

Huge run last week when charging home to just miss in a race that had a stack of trouble. She lacks dash but gets to the fence and hits the line and this is no harder than her last run. Each way player.

Race 7 No. 1 Xile Bale

He can be lethal when he draws in as he showed last start. Progressively winds up the sectionals to smash the line hard and can show some dash to out himself in a spot to do that. Drawn to perfection and goes close here.
