Harry Buchanan’s Thursday Greyhound Tips Posted on July 27, 2023July 27, 2023 | Posted by TABtouch NORTHAM Race 4 No. 9 Rona’s Rocket (also reserve for R10) Only has to gain a start in either this or the last to be a threat, especially off an inside draw. Won off the down grade last start in style and still in the low grade here. Goes well track and trip and watch for a start in either race to be a major force. Race 5 No. 8 Warm Regards and No. 6 Dandalup Cross The 8 gets her chance now. Been racing far better dogs than this and while she can lack some pace, she should descend on these quickly. Keep a watch on the 6 who will show some dash and could be hard to catch if he gets away. Favs to lose but a save on the 6 EW. Race 7 No. 7 Black Trinity On the grade drop here and gets her chance to find the arm. Been showing pace in harder class and will get every hope this time. Hard to catch if she does and will go good time on the arm. Box is ok and this is her best hope to date. Race 8 No. 8 Luna Sunrise and No. 2 Cyclone Fergie The 8 goes real quick over this trip early. She can speed down the outside and find the top here and she can be hard to reel in. Any trouble behind her a bonus if she does find the arm. The 2 comes off a long trip at Cannington where she was outclassed and couldn’t stay. Goes better here and will be running home hard over this journey. Race 9 No. 4 Comet Bay Katie and No. 1 Kenny Keeping The 4 a huge quote and while she needs the arm, she will be one of a few going for it. Won’t be caught if she is the one to get it at the first turn. The 1 will go better here. Musters up hard along the fence and he could find a forward spot quickly and be a force late. Don’t dismiss him here this time. Race 10 No. 8 Kingsbrae Huxley and No. 7 Bazinga Boy The 8 is racing out of his skin and he’s a real threat here. Box isn’t ideal but he’s racing so well and has been showing good turn of foot off the mat that it won’t matter. The 7 gets one more go. Disappointed last week but he’s better than that. Can show speed off a good step and races well most times. Must produce this time. SANDOWN PARK Race 4 No. 3 Minister Mentor Super talent who has put in some huge runs so far in short career. Yet to miss the frame here track and trip and runs time. Can come from anywhere and only needs a clear run to be awfully hard to stop here. Race 5 No. 7 Starburst Candy Good EW show at a price here and already met with support. While she doesn’t win a lot, she has been racing better class and can show early speed and sticks on. Good chance to break through again back in this easier company and likes the track and trip. Race 7 No. 8 Live In Infamy and No. 3 Classic Touch The 8 was big last start and can go well again. Handles the outside draws and is very strong. She could even land closer here with a drag off the 7. EW player. The 3 goes well here. Unsure of his commitment levels around dogs but he keeps sticking on and rarely misses the frame here. Will be prominent throughout. Race 8 No. 8 Pickled Piper and No. 5 Belle Violin The 8 is again a huge quote but she ran out of her skin last start. It was a much tougher affair and while she tired and got beaten a fair bit late, she showed enough to warrant an EW go here. Can surprise in this. The 5 will go better in this as well. Has a good record track and trip and will only need to offset the box early to be a force late. Don’t dismiss him this time. Race 9 No. 6 Afire and No. 8 Tinker Norm The 6 ran the race of his life last time against a megastar in Postman Pat. Went good time in defeat and while he was no threat to the winner, he never shirked the task once. Racing superbly and deserves a win here and can get it. The 8 placed in the Maturity last week and ran down Transponder the week prior. Has a tremendous record and rarely out of the money. Drops big sections. Will make his presence more than felt here.
