Harry Buchanan’s Thursday Greyhound Tips

MANDURAH

Race 5 No. 2 Prime Of Life

Boxed to go very close here. Coming off some Cannington runs yet does much better here, he has four wins track and trip and only has to hold a spot into the back to charge into this. Big chance.

Race 6 No. 1 Sudoku Linda and No. 8 Nitro Jet

The 1 ran a super race last week. Moves to the fence now and with the wide running kennel mate outside and a lot of pressure coming over, she can hold a spot here and drive along the inside to run well. The 8 will go fast this time. Just needs room but when he gets it he can unleash. Watch him. He’s a threat.

Race 7 No. 8 Ice King

Perfectly boxed and big smokie. Has a very good turn of foot off the mat. He can rush around here and if he happens to find the arm, he will take some catching this dog. Can get his low 17 out and that will give this a shake. Don’t dismiss.

Race 10 No. 3 Got The Fury

Running out of chances but it doesn’t get any easier than this for him. Gets over to the fence quickly and makes a fast run through the turn which he sustains. Just needs a little first turn luck and he can take advantage. EW but can win.

Race 11 No. 8 Dido Belle

Looking for her to show her good early speed here. Her record off 8 is strangely, quite horrendous, which is bizarre as her record off 7 is superb. Willing to ignore the at stat for this and see if she can find the arm to go on and run a big race.

Sandown Park

Race 5 No. 4 Springview Noah  and No. 2 Fabs Vegetable

The 4 is a great show here. Has a ripping turn of acceleration once balanced off the mat and if he can use that before the first turn, he will be there to strike. They won’t catch him if he finds the top at any stage. Big EW go here and can win as well. Save on the 2 who gets a grade drop and well boxed this week. Can surprise and he’s strong. 4 on top though.

Race 6 No. 5 Lady Lily Hook

She is the best dog in the race but her lack of dash after box rise plays against her. In saying that, her heat run was enormous and she isn’t badly drawn here. If she is untouched in to the back, they won’t hold her out and she may even get to an EW quote.

Race 7 No. 3 Hippogriff

Dropping right back from the staying trip and it’s not a bad move. He actually has a good draw here to smoke up along the fence first turn and find a spot. If he’s close up the back, they will be lucky stopping  him late. Place heavy play here.

Race 8 No. 6 Yachi Bale

Very disappointing last week in a heat of the Australian Cup. Never really got into it but he seems to race a lot better here when it’s over the sprint and that’s why he gets another chance here. Well boxed wide and can settle up here where he will run home hard as usual. Should bounce back with a much better run.

Race 11 No. 7 Jye’s Jet

Best roughie of the night. Gets back but this field has a few dogs who won’t like where they land early here and that’s when he can start his run. Has a few tricks but he’s strong and can hit the dais with any luck up the back. Place heavy go to see us out.

ANGLE PARK

Race 5 No. 2 Mepunga Raider

Nice win first up, better win last start and surprisingly black odds about him here. Has these covered on the clock and the small field only helps his cause. A repeat sees him just win again. Yes!!

Race 8 No. 4 Fantastic Radley

Outstanding return last start making up many lengths from the back after having a chequered run in transit. Draw and more importantly, the map sees him landing closer here and that spells trouble for the field. Quality stayer who is sprinting superbly and hard to stop this time.
