Harry Buchanan’s Monday Greyhound Tips

CANNINGTON

Race 5 No. 8 Joe The Lion

Perfectly drawn here to roll down the outside and take up a position first turn. Three-time winner track and trip and was unlucky to cop a clip when going forward last start. If this fav gets early company then he will get his chance. EW go.

Race 6 No. 1 Pauline Keeping and No. 6 Dozer Can Browse

The red has the best draw and map she has ever seen. The 2 turns right at box rise and keeps going right. She gets every hope to punch through and lead, it will be curtains then. Keep an eye on the 6. She is racing well and will step quickly here off the second line. Capable of going well and gets a save.

Race 7 No. 5 Exploded Ravioli

Simply wrong what happened to him last start and a wonder he stayed on his feet. Had the race parcelled up when a wayward one laid out on him as he went to cross it for victory. All but came down. If he’s taken no mental harm he will go fast here and give another great sight at the good EW price.

Race 9 No. 7 Teenage Rampage and No. 1 Prancer Lomar

The 7 has an ordinary record here but goodness me, if it’s ever going to break through this will be it. Big run last time when making sustained ground from the back and running a place in a better race. Offset the draw and he can go close. The 1 is the graded runner but he has done pretty much all his racing at Mandurah and this corner start is an unknown. If he steps and handles it, he will be hard to catch on the arm. Save on him.

ANGLE PARK

Race 1 No. 2 Zipping Patch and No. 5 Kruger Lass

The 2 back here off another freshen up but he was outstanding last time over this trip giving Mr Ibrox a start and a drubbing. A repeat see him go close here. The 5 has won her only start track and trip and goes fast mid race. If she leads she will be hard to catch. Big doubt over this fav who has tried this trip in VIC a few times and didn’t get it. Easier here but not at the quote to find out.

Race 7 No. 6 Plant Road

Needs the arm but he might get it here. If he steps, he goes fast and will be very hard to catch over this short trip. Goes well here and twice a winner at the track. Good double figure hope.

Race 8 No. 3 Aston Hackett and No. 5 Slim Sherman

The 3 wins if he steps here and holds the arm first turn. Goes super here and still racing well against better company. The 5 gets his last chance here (another one). He is capable of spearing out and blowing these off the track. Disappointed last week but he does that. Don’t ignore him but he has to produce here.

Race 10 No. 7 Emerley Wiggum

This is set up for him. This fav has every trick in the book. It’s a large book. Talented but happy to run alongside the leader. That should be the 5. This is where the 7 can chime in and run over them. Has raced good company and will be hard to beat here if this all pans out.
