Harry Buchanan’s Monday Greyhound Best Bets Posted on January 15, 2024 | Posted by TABtouch CANNINGTON Race 3 No. 1 Pops Pocket and No. 7 Ohana Paige The 1 will relish this box. She will fire out off this draw and go close to leading. That’s when we see her best. The 7 is arguably the best dog in the race with the worst draw. If she can offset the tricky start, she will power into this strongly. Keep her safe. Race 4 No. 5 Surprised Fun Here we go again. Leads and wins, doesn’t lead and runs last. Probably should have let her go here however she finds herself in a race that has not one good beginner or consistent early speed. So if any of these lead her then she has truly lost her way. Race 5 No. 4 Yunderup Sky He’s been in stronger races than this lately so he will get a chance to get into this. Awkward galloping action but capable and keeps coming. A few suspect 500m dogs in this so he will pick those off and can hit the frame at least. Race 6 No. 3 Timmy Timebomb and No. 4 Smirch Birch The 3 is back into his good stepping form at box rise and he’s always hard to stop when he finds the arm. Boxed to get his chance again. He will however give the 4 an early look here and a clean step from him will see a repeat of his last run where he won well. Hard to stop on the arm as well. Race 10 No. 3 Luna Sunrise and No. 8 High Level This is the 3s chance now. Boxed perfectly here and will get every possible hope to spear out as she can and lead these into the back. Won’t be run down if she does. Should she make an error, the 8 is the obvious danger if she gets over. Has some good wins under her belt and will present strongly at some stage if she gets over cleanly. Race 12 No. 2 Runs On Gas and No. 3 Entry Level The 1 will be short and she comes out fast. Yet she still struggles to get even this short trip and is always vulnerable late. Either the 2 or 3, while both limited, finish off well over this distance and will rail hard to go after this fav. Place heavy plays at least. Market Market
