CANNINGTON

Race 1 No. 7 Cashed Up Guess

He’s got a few spells in the old trick bag but his best puts these away and comfortably. Simply a matter of which Cashed Up turns up. The right one is the winner.

Race 2 No. 6 Vanda Stanley and No. 7 Bazinga Boy

The 6 is probably the fastest dog in the field but he does have issues going around the first turn. Boxed out where he needs to be could see him lead and that should get it done. The 7 will be a force if he stays out of strife and shows his pace. Save there.

Race 7 No. 6 Scarlet’s Prince and No. 8 Jaxon’s Journey

This could get very very messy courtesy of the horribly drawn dog in 1. He has speed and wants off into the back. We are quite simply looking for the 6 to go over heels and find the fence and the 8 stepping and sweeping around before the trouble starts. Either happens and they are in this at odds.

Race 10 No. 1 Luca Sunset and No. 2 Minotaur Tux

The red can step off this box and if he leads, it will take an effort to run him down. Sub-22 will be needed. The 2 is resuming, he’s enigmatic but capable. Keep an eye on him as his best will figure in this.

Race 11 No. 1 Theatre Of War and No. 8 Molfetta Knight

The 1 loves racing here and even though he’s stepping up in trip, he can give a sight and could possibly find the arm. Not a deep race and that’s why the 8 is also a chance here. He is hot and cold but when he gets into it up the back he usually gets into the finish.

Race 12 No. 6 Believin’ Blade and No. 4 All Cashed Up

The 6 just doesn’t know how to run a bad race here. Only ever needs that first turn gap and he charges into it and hits the podium. The 4 has raced harder dogs than this and can surprise. Just needs to show some pace and will then be a force. Both EW hopes.

GAWLER

Race 5 No. 4 Abernathy

Was in a much harder race last week and got no luck at all. He can run a huge race here if he offsets the middle draw and had a great record here.

Race 6 No. 5 Pazienza

Former NSW/VIC dog who has a super record. Trialled very fast here and his price was duly taken. Is rock bottom now however so be warned that he doesn’t go anywhere near as good if he doesn’t find the arm quickly. Has an electric turn of foot however so box the only issue. Wins if he finds the top early.

Race 7 No. 5 Emerley Bruce and No. 4 Velocity Teller

A couple of capable runners here. The 5 can do something if he lands close and will be strong late. Has a good record here. The 4 has been racing tougher opposition over the longer trip so if she steps she too can give a sight at odds. EW players here.

Race 8 No. 2 Mr Ibrox

Barnstorming win here last week and is again a price to play even though this is a good race. Runs into his races well and has a sustained last section that can hit the podium here. Don’t dismiss him.

Race 9 No. 2 Bold Onyx

Monster hope here. Boxed to get the run of the race and win. Checked at a critical stage last start then checked again when trying to recover. Rarely misses the podium around here and is an EW frankie.

Race 10 No. 6 Toby West

This fav will be hard to beat and is fast, but the 6 is absolutely no joke and doesn’t turn up to muck around. Just missed the Angle Park track record last start and has a devastating turn of foot up the back over the trip. Will shake the life out of this if they let him run.
