Harry Buchanan’s Daily Greyhound Tips Posted on August 9, 2022 | Posted by Harry Buchanan MANDURAH Race 1 No. 3 West On Harmony Incredibly unlucky last start here when stepped well but couldn’t get over off the wide draw. Moves to a much better draw here with a vacant inside and gets her chance to bounce back into form. Has plenty of talent and can go very well if she steps again. Race 2 No. 5 Snorkers Inconvenienced by another dog last week when bowling along in front and looking like he was going to be in the finish. Ran him off the track and a complete forgive. Is the best dog in this race. Small field suits and he runs time. Hard to beat this time. Race 6 No. 4 Hinchinbrook Lad and No. 9 Stimulus The 4 is having his first look here but has a stack of ability and hard to beat with clear running at a good price. Will be strong late. The 9 will look to lead if she gains the start here and over this trip will be hard to run down. Has form here and in a good kennel. Race 7 No. 6 Entry Level and No. 7 West On Governor The 6 should have won last start, or he would have gone very very close. Was stood on his head when a dog fell in front of him while making his run home. Racing well and can win. The 7 clearly does his best work here and will try and sweep around early. Can run time and is hard to beat when he leads. They should fight it out with clear running. Race 8 No. 6 Zulu Gladiator Is airborne without winning at the moment. Has put in some huge efforts lately and will again track the speed up out wide and descend late. Is running time in defeat and trainer is flying presently. EW bird here. Race 9 No. 2 Ghost Raptor One last chance off this inside draw over this trip. Didn’t really muster up last time but he’s better than that and his map looks good here. Can beat the 1 out and track up the 3 and be strong home. Definite top two chance. MURRAY BRIDGE Race 4 No. 2 Married Twice Looks boxed to lead here early and that makes her the one to catch over this shorter trip. Consistent and loves the straight track. Gets all the room in the world to get the job done here. Race 6 No. 7 Spring Flora and No. 5 Impress Raja The 7 will try and go fast here and lead. Form wasn’t flash prior to spell but is better than that and can go well fresh. Has great form over the 350m so knows her way up here. The 5 can surprise here and run a race. She can show speed and goes better when she leads. Don’t dismiss her at the odds. Race 7 No. 6 Steve’s Regret The big boys and girls were a bridge too far for Steve last week over the longer trip. Back to 300m, his early pace and good box manners will allow him every hope to lead all the way here. Can run good time when he bowls along in front. Can improve sharply. Race 8 No. 2 Aces Are Trumps and No. 3 Mepunga Grace The South Australian final for the National Straight Track championship. This fav in 8 looks awfully hard to beat. Comes out of the boxes like he’s in hyper space. At $1.40, we can look elsewhere for a few place heavy goes or exotics. The 2 and 3 fit that bill. The 2 will improve a stack this week and can hit the podium with any luck while the 3 is underestimated and can go ok at huge odds as well. Both need to miss the red early but if they do, they will drive up the fence strongly and can at least place if this fav gets away as expected. If he makes a mistake, then a small win bet will cover that. 8-2-3 for the states final. Race 9 No. 2 Flora Colossus and No. 5 Platinum Flare The 2 will appreciate the 350m now and is well boxed. Has run some good races over the short trip and will be prominent throughout. The 5 gets one last chance to do something up this straight. Can mix it with these dogs but needs to get into it earlier. Don’t ignore him as he can win at a price and at least hit top two. Race 10 No. 1 Land Of Promise and No. 7 Ethan’s Fury The red looks the one here. Has the track and trip stats and rarely puts in a bad one up the straight. Best formline and boxed to drive home over these. Have a very small EW spec on the 7 at a monster quote. He can go better than people think and the small field will help him here. Don’t completely rule him out. The red should be winning though. Market Market
