Harry Buchanan’s Daily Greyhound Tips Posted on May 18, 2022May 18, 2022 | Posted by Harry Buchanan CANNINGTON Race 5 No. 1 West On Fizz Ignore her form. She is MUCH better than what it shows. She has never drawn 1 or 2, been racing better company than this and had absolutely no luck doing it lately. Her overall record does not do her justice at all. Has raced here once before so knows the track and while she will improve immensely on what she does here, she can be a major force off the box. Worth nothing she is drawn to contest the WA Oaks heats this Saturday. She has the ability. Can hit the podium. Race 6 No. 1 Great White and No. 8 Soul’s Glory The 1 finally has the box he’s needed again. Plagued by bad draws lately yet still racing well, he can get the job done here with a clean step. Lobs closer in the run here and is even capable of leading. The 8 has found his mojo again over this trip and has his box here. Swept into it easily last start to just go under in very quick time for the grade. Obvious threat here. Race 7 No. 6 Larkin Monelli and No. 8 Chestnut Monelli The 6 is only getting the nod because I think he can benefit from a messy map here. He is forever hitting the line yet always in average time which is what they will most likely go here. Consistent and chases hard and continues to be plagued by bad boxes which he can offset if he stays out of the early battle. The 8 will certainly stay out of it as he drops back in trip and has no early speed. Was tried over the trip and couldn’t stay so he will be a last section sprinter which is what will be needed here. Look for him late in a place heavy play. Race 9 No. 2 Bella Sunset Moves to a closer fence draw here in a race that’s very winnable. Should be able to settle much closer here and has consistent sections that work home well in this company. Has great stats off inside draws which she hasn’t seen for some time (7, 8, 6, 6, 7) being her last 5 draws. Gets her chance here. Race 11 No. 4 Bazinga Boy and No. 2 Son of Bamsy Looking for the 4 to lead here and that should be it if he does. Under rated customer who has shown a good turn of foot at box rise and is much better suited over the shorter trip. Can offset the box and be hard to catch. The 2 is a sneaky play here and was super last start. Can settle forward off the draw and be a main player late. Ran a great race behind My Boy Bailey last week. A repeat sees him win. WENTWORTH PARK Race 4 No. 2 Zambora Charlie Enigmatic but drawn to see the arm sooner here which is what he needs. His races are usually determined by how close he lands first turn and his win here 2 starts back was barnstorming even if it was in steady time (track was slow). Look for him to lob handy here and will take a power of holding out. Race 5 No. 5 Tradie’s Mate Hits Masters company here and showed last start at Dubbo when he resumed that he still has his zest for racing. Gets back, wide and will be last at the first turn, but then starts a very long surging run home out in the middle of the track and some of these aren’t racing their best anymore and will not hold him out. He just needs an clear run to be the one to hold out. Market Market
