Trent’s Gloucester Park Preview Posted on October 20, 2017 | Posted by Trent Cooper Trent Cooper’s Preview Race 1: PERTH PLASTERBOARD CENTRE BROOME MS PACE ONEONTHEWOOD (2) has won three of his last five, mostly from the stand, but has the draw to be hard to beat here. He was a good 2nd to The Trilogy last start and is racing in career best form. TOUCH OF SUCCESS (9) is the class runner of the field but is better suited closer to the pegs and on the bigger tracks. ADDFUELTOFIRE (1) was racing well last campaign and has the perfect draw but resumes from a long spell without a trial so watch the betting. TUAS DELIGHT (10) ran a nice 2nd to Livura at his first start back from a spell. Tips: 2 9 1 10 Suggested Bet: ONEONTHEWOOD (2) to win. Race 2: PERTH PLASTERBOARD CENTRE CANNING VALE THE PREUX CHEVALIER MARES QUALIFYING HEAT 3 MS PACE SARAH GOODY (2) won seven of her 14 starts last campaign and is the class runner of this field. She should have the speed to lead and will be very hard to catch. DAME PUISSANT (10) is also resuming from a break and was a nice trial winner and has the class to be in the finish with any luck from this draw. LOVERS PRAYER (1) is drawn to get a perfect run and looks a good place chance. SEA ME SMILE (11) has been placed at her past four starts and shouldn’t be far away again. Tips: 2 10 1 11 Suggested Bet: SARAH GOODY (2) to win. Race 3: PPC MS PACE SOHO CHELSEA (7) faced the breeze when a strong 1.55.1 winner over this trip before running a great 2nd in a stronger field a fortnight ago. He is suited by the distance and looks the one to beat. His stablemate, SOHO WALL STREET (9), is also racing extremely well and drops considerably in class on his last effort behind Motu Premier. KING LEBRON (3) has been unplaced at his past ten starts but would be a big improver if he could find the top. OHOKA DARCY (5) looks the other winning chance if the race is run to suit. Tips: 7 9 3 5 Suggested Bet: SOHO CHELSEA (7) to win. SuperPick - Race 3 no. 7 SOHO CHELSEA - Money Back Race 4: SOHO STANDARDBREDS HANDICAP SS PACE THE ODD LOVER (9) resumed from an injury enforced lay-off with a dominant win in a similar field. He goes back 10m for that victory but is clearly the one to beat. ASSASSINATOR (8) faced the breeze when a 16m 2nd to THE ODD LOVER (9) last start and can finish closer with a better run in transit. FIFTH EDITION (6) was an impressive all the way winner here last week but needs to find the pegs to show his best. ARISING EASTON (1) is a reliable beginner who is always a good place chance in these events. Tips: 9 8 6 1 Suggested Bet: THE ODD LOVER (9) to win. Race 5: STATEWEST BUILDING SUPPLIES MALAGA MS PACE SKIPPY RASCAL (6) was a good winner in similar company three starts back before finishing midfield in stronger events. He will appreciate the drop in class tonight and should give a great sight. EL MACHINE (12) dashed to the front and looked the winner last week before dying on the run and must be respected again. BHAGWAN (1) has taken a while to hit his straps this campaign but is on the improve and perfectly drawn. GLOW BRIGHT (2) is always a chance if he can get a soft trip in transit. Tips: 6 12 1 2 Suggested Bet: SKIPPY RASCAL (6) to win. Race 6: TOTAL FITOUT SOLUTIONS WA MS PACE VULTAN TIN (9) has been racing the state’s best pacers, including a 5th in 1.53.5 to Chicago Bull last start. He is drawn wide but this is a massive drop in class and he will run a big race. LIVURA (12) goes up in class on his effortless win last week but has shown that he is up to this company in the past. JOHNNY DISCO (7) ran a great 3rd to Fifth Edition after facing the breeze last week and must be considered. SOKYS BIGBULLET (1) is the interesting runner as he has plenty of gate speed and is with Tony Svilicich so monitor the betting. Tips: 9 12 7 1 Suggested Bet: VULTAN TIN (9) to win. Race 7: PERTH PLASTERBOARD CENTRE MOUNT EDEN SPRINT MS PACE SOHO TRIBECA (3) has come back from a break in great fashion, impressively winning his first-up start before producing the run of the race when 2nd to SHANDALE a fortnight ago. He is drawn well and should prove hard to beat. CHICAGO BULL (10) was 3rd in the same race and should be right in the finish from his nice trailing draw. OHOKA PUNTER (2) would be extremely hard to catch over the sprint trip if he found the top and was close to his best. SHANDALE (4) was impressive in beating a similar field but is awkwardly drawn here. Tips: 3 10 2 4 Suggested Bet: SOHO TRIBECA (3) to win. Race 8: G & N PARTITIONING MARES MS PACE DODOLICIOUS (8) has won 18 of her 31 race starts and has resumed from a spell in great fashion, winning all three assignments. She beat a similar field from a wide barrier last start and is clearly the one to beat again. ROCKIN THE BOYS (1) has won four of her last six, all when leading, and will give them something to catch despite the rise in class. DONEGAL RUNDLESCREEK (5) has been placed at nine of her past ten and shouldn’t be far away again. FOXY DAME (7) is the other proven performer in this company. Tips: 8 1 5 7 Suggested Bet: DODOLICIOUS (8) to win. RACE 9: AMF CEILING TILES 3YO FILLIES MS PACE BEAUDIENE BEACH BABE (5) has been beaten as a short priced favourite at both starts but clearly has her share of ability. She didn’t look comfortable in the run but was working into the race when checked at a crucial stage last start and should be a major player here. OUR MAJOR MAMA (4) raced in stronger company last campaign and should make her presence felt first up tonight. FORTUNATE ADDA (8) suffered a flat tyre last start and can overcome the draw. SOMERSBY (6) has race fitness on her side and shouldn’t be far away. Tips: 5 4 8 6 SUGGESTED BET: BEAUDIENE BEACH BABE (5) to win. RACE 10: RESCOM MGO MS PACE EXTREME PRINCE (6) worked too hard at his first run this campaign when 5th to Im Batman in 1.56.3. This field is not strong and he gets his chance to bring up his first WA victory. TAJIE BABY (1) was a fair 3rd behind two nice mares last week and will be competitive from the pole. LOT TWENTY ONE (10) is in peak form with a win and a 2nd from his last two starts and will enjoy a soft run on the pegs. BEBRAVE (4) disappointed at his first run back from a spell but is the class runner when right. Tips: 6 1 10 4 SUGGESTED BET: EXTREME PRINCE (6) to win.
