Trent’s Gloucester Park Preview Posted on December 2, 2016December 2, 2016 | Posted by Trent Cooper Trent Cooper’s Preview Race 1: WESTSIDE AUTO WHOLESALE SAN SIMEON QUALIFYING HEAT 3 FIFTH EDITION (2) has been racing in top company in NZ, with his last two starts being won by Smolda and Our Dream About Me. This is his first run in WA and he hasn’t had a spell but looks to have a class edge on his rivals if right. LIMESTONE BAY (1) is always competitive when he draws near the pegs and should run a big race with the hood added. THE REVOLUTION (5) has been disappointing but has ability. MAKO SHADOW (10) should get a nice run from this draw and can be dangerous late. Tips: 2 1 5 10 Suggested Bet: FIFTH EDITION (2) to win. Race 2: PRINCI BUTCHERS BINSHAW QUALIFYING HEAT 3 CUT FOR AN ACE (7) is yet to break through in WA but put the writing on the wall with a game 2nd to Soho Tribeca last start. He is drawn poorly tonight but looks to be a strong each way chance. PELUSIAC (2) broke in a stand when resuming from a spell so that effort can be overlooked but he is extremely hard to beat in front and he looks a good chance to find that position. OHOKA KENTUCKY (1) isn’t known for his gate speed but will be a big show if he can use the draw. OUR REGAL IDEAL (6) has had excuses and can improve. Tips: 7 2 1 6 Suggested Bet: CUT FOR AN ACE (7) to win. Race 3: TABTOUCH AUSTRALASIAN YOUNG DRIVERS CHAMPIONSHIP RACE 1 OHOKA SQUIRE (1) has faced the breeze at his last two and battled on well to finish just behind the placegetters. He should get an easier run here and will run a big race if he can hold the front. SOHO CHELSEA (2) has won 8 of his 17 starts, including his last two when he has sprinted home in quick time. He is up in class but looks to have many more wins in store. LIVURA (4) was heavily backed last week and wasn’t beaten far when he faced the breeze in and should be thereabouts again. ANOTHER AYJAY (10) is a place chance from the draw. Tips: 1 2 4 10 Suggested Bet: OHOKA SQUIRE (1) to win. Race 4: RETRAVISION INTER DOMINION QUALIFYING HEAT 7 HECTORJAYJAY (5) is the only undefeated pacer after two nights of this series and has the speed to burn to the front and make it a clean sweep of the heats. His last halves have been lightning and he should be able to reproduce that over the longer journey. JOHN OF ARC (1) has been very brave in both heats and will appreciate the pegs tonight and looks the only danger. THE BUCKET LIST (3) has been unlucky with the draws so far and can improve from here. OUR JIMMY JOHNSTONE (6) is racing well but is likely to be doing it tough. Tips: 5 1 3 6 Suggested Bet: HECTORJAYJAY (5) to win. Race 5: TABTOUCH PARLIAMENTARIANS CUP IDEAL ALICE (1) has been racing in top company and didn’t have the best of luck when 4th to Major Reality in the Norm’s Daughter last week. She runs into a very smart one here but has the advantage of the barrier and will give her rival something to catch. A PICCADILLY PRINCESS (2) couldn’t have been more impressive when exploding to the line to win last week and is clearly the one to beat. HIDDEN BAD (3) looks the only mare capable of upsetting the two fancies, while SHEER ROCKNROLL (7) is the best of the rest. Tips: 1 2 3 7 Suggested Bet: IDEAL ALICE (1) to win. SuperPick - Race 5 no. 1 IDEAL ALICE - Money Back – Run 2nd Race 6: WESTRAL INTER DOMINION QUALIFYING HEAT 8 LENNYTHESHARK (1) was ultra-impressive on Night One and then couldn’t get into the race when 4th to Bling It On. He comes up with the pole tonight and will be extremely hard to beat. BETTORS FIRE (2) led all of the way in his heat on opening night and was a fair 5th on Tuesday. He is much better drawn here and could test Lenny early. FRANCO NELSON (3) hasn’t had much luck in his two heats and should get a soft run here. RUN ONEOVER (8) broke the rack record in winning his heat on Tuesday but looks in for a tough run here. Tips: 1 2 3 8 Suggested Bet: LENNYTHESHARK (1) to win. Race 7: GARRARDS HORSE & HOUND INTER DOMINION QUALIFYING HEAT 9 SMOLDA (3) has faced the breeze and been placed in his two heats. He is better suited to the longer distance tonight if he is forced to breeze but may even find the front here. SIMPLY SUSATIONAL (1) holds the key to the race as he has the speed to lead and has performed well from bad barriers thus far. BLING IT ON (6) has now beaten Lennytheshark at two of his last three runs and will be charging late. BEAUDIENE BOAZ (7) didn’t have any luck on Tuesday and is likely to be driven more aggressively tonight. Tips: 3 1 6 7 Suggested Bet: SMOLDA (3) to win. Race 8: GARRARDS HORSE & HOUND 4YO CHAMPIONSHIP MR MOJITO (2) arrived in WA with a huge reputation courtesy of his NZ form in top company but suffered a flat tyre 2½ laps from home and couldn’t show anything. He is drawn perfectly in a weaker field and can bounce back tonight. NATHAN’S COURAGE (1) is a brilliant front runner and will give a sight in front or be a great place bet if he hands up. JOHNNY DISCO (10) is drawn to get a soft run and shouldn’t be far away. VANQUISHED (5) continues to race extremely consistently and will be hitting the line hard. Tips: 2 1 10 5 Suggested Bet: MR MOJITO (2) to win. Race 9: CHECK IN WITH TABTOUCH MS PACE IM FULL OF EXCUSES (6) has won five on end in great style, including the Kalgoorlie and York Cups. He has been beating the likes of Rub Of The Green and Bettor Scoot and is ready for the rise in class and mobile start. RED SALUTE (3) led and was only run down late by Delightful Offer on Tuesday and will give cheek again if he finds the top. BRONZE SEEKER (5) flew home for a close 4th on Tuesday and will charging home again. COURAGE TELLS (1) could a big improver from the pole as he has early speed. Tips: 6 3 5 1 Suggested Bet: IM FULL OF EXCUSES (6) to win. Race 10: INTERNATIONAL ANIMAL HEALTH PRODUCTS CONDITIONED HANDICAP SS PACE TWOANDAHALF TIGERS (9) is a wonderfully consistent gelding who rarely misses a place. He breezed and beat a similar field two starts back before sitting outside Risk and running 2nd to that pacer last week. He has a tough draw to overcome but is still the one to beat. MAX MERIDIUS (11) and THE STORM CHIEF (7) ran on to fill the placings behind the talented Rub Of The Green last week and both will charging home again. MAJOR RUSH (12) won the stand here last week and can transfer that form to the mobile starts. Tips: 9 11 7 12 Suggested Bet: TWOANDAHALF TIGERS (9) to win. Bet Now
