Trent’s Gloucester Park Preview Posted on August 18, 2016August 22, 2016 | Posted by Trent Cooper Trent Cooper’s Preview Race 1: FIFTH LEG 3YO MS PACE CHICAGO BULL (9) has won his last seven starts, including a great win over Lets Chase The Dream in the WA Derby. He resumed from a spell with an easy victory at Bunbury and is clearly the one to beat despite the draw. BEAUDIENE BEAUFIGHTER (4) followed a fair 4th at his WA debut with a 1.54.1 win and will be hard to catch if he finds the front. FRANCO RAYNOR (12) is racing well but not suited by the back line draw, while OVERBOARD AGAIN (11) has to be taken on trust at his first run back after a break. Tips: 9 4 12 11 Suggested Bet: CHICAGO BULL (9) to win. Race 2: DEVILS LAIR CLASSIC MS PACE DELIGHTFUL OFFER (5) is a smart 4YO who has won six of last seven starts and was enormous in the defeat when running 4th to Run Oneover. He resumes here from an injury enforced layoff without a trial but will run a big race if near his top. LIBERTYBELLE MIDFREW (8) made the Inters Final last campaign and has been trialling nicely for her return but will improve on whatever she does tonight. IDEAL JUSTICE (2) and AMERICAN BOY (9) both have the ability to be competitive with the former the better chance from the barrier. Tips: 5 8 2 9 Suggested Bet: DELIGHTFUL OFFER (5) to win. Race 3: SPRING INTO SUMMER THE SCHRADER QUALIFYING HEAT 3 RISK (2) did all of the work at his Australian debut and then had to withstand a protest when successful in solid time at Northam. He is well drawn tonight and will be in the firing line throughout. KIWI LEGEND (4) was disappointing last start when he sat on Rub Of The Green and just battled away when 3rd to that pacer but can improve. MATTJESTIC STAR (1) started at big odds but was too strong at the finish for Bungalow Bill last start and must be considered from the pole. COMMANDER CHAPEL (10) looks a good place chance from his trailing draw. Tips: 2 4 1 10 Suggested Bet: RISK (2) to win. Race 4: 821 TO THE SOUTH CONDITIONED HANDICAP SS PACE THE ODD LOVER (2) has won 11 of his 20 race starts and looks a top-liner. He began fairly at his first stand run when 2nd to Galactic Star before beating a weaker field last start and is the one to beat with a safe getaway. THE BUCKET LIST (10) was a huge winner at his return to racing when he was well back and sprinted over the top of them with a 55.6 last half and must be respected despite the back mark. PAY ME CULLEN (5) and OHOKA COOPER (8) are both racing well and can be in the finish with the right runs in transit. Tips: 2 10 5 8 Suggested Bet: THE ODD LOVER (2) to win. Race 5: PENFOLDS “MAX” CLASSIC MS PACE OHOKA SQUIRE (1) put the writing on the wall with a good 2nd to Livura and was then a strong winner in 1.54.8 here on Tuesday. He is drawn perfectly and only needs to reproduce that effort to get the money again. THREE KINGS (2) is nicely drawn and looks a good place chance going on his 2nd to Char Do Neigh two starts back. YOUR EXCUSED (10) grows a leg on the pegs and is drawn to get a nice run. DRIVEN (12) is getting back to something like his best form and can overcome the back line draw. Tips: 1 2 10 12 Suggested Bet: OHOKA SQUIRE (1) to win. Race 6: THE SEPPELT LONG DRIVE MS PACE BUNGALOW BILL (1) worked hard in the run when 2nd to Mattjestic Star last start in 1.55.4. He goes up in class for this but is drawn perfectly and will be very hard to beat. RYCROFT (10) won in 1.54.8 recently but couldn’t get into the race last start. He is drawn to get a perfect run and should be in the finish. SPECTACTULAR (5) wasn’t fancied first up but performed well when 3rd to Mattjestic Star and will be fitter. ANOTHER VINNIE (9) was a dominant last start winner and has the strength to overcome the draw. Tips: 1 10 5 9 Suggested Bet: BUNGALOW BILL (1) to win. Race 7: HERE`S TO THE CHASE BY WOLF BLASS MS PACE RUN ONEOVER (10) has won five of his nine starts this campaign and will be hard to hold out here with any luck in running. He is likely to be behind the leader and will be storming home if he gets out in the final circuit. NORTHERN ASSASSIN (1) broke through for a well-deserved victory when leading throughout in 1.56.2 last start. He goes up in class and is likely to receive more pressure but will give them something to catch. CYAMACH (12) and WAYLADE (4) are very consistent in this class and can both win with the right run. Tips: 10 1 12 4 Suggested Bet: RUN ONEOVER (10) to win. Race 8: HAPPY 90TH BIRTHDAY HUBERT TUCKER MS PACE MACHS A PEARLER (3) has only been racing fairly but this field is very weak and he will run a big race if he can find the top. ALL THE TORQUE (10) has finished just behind the placegetters at his last three starts and should get a nice run on the pegs drawn behind his stablemate. ERGO (1) is the third of the Kristian Hawkins trained runners and must be a chance from the pole. AUTHORIZED (4) is racing well below his best but can improve in this company. Tips: 3 10 1 4 Suggested Bet: MACHS A PEARLER (3) to win. Race 9: PEPPERJACK GRADED TROTTERS DISCRETIONARY HANDICAP DIAMOND GEEZER (8) has the best form in this race, winning his last two and can overcome his 20m handicap. ROCK FOREST (5) ran 2nd to DIAMOND GEEZER (8) last start and gets a 20m advantage this time. ALL FLAIR (1) is a very consistent trotter who will be thereabouts again. KELL ROAD KID (2) is the best of the rest. Tips: 8 5 1 2 Suggested Bet: DIAMOND GEEZER (8) to win. Race 10: HEAD OF THE FAMILY “MATUA” SPECIAL 3YO WESTBRED FILLIES MS PACE SHEZ OUR EYE CANDY (1) didn’t set the world alight at her first four starts but she is well bred and resumes here after a long spell and has trialled nicely at Pinjarra. She has Gary Hall Jnr in the cart and should be hard to beat from this barrier. TRUBLUWAUSSIE (4) led and was just beaten in a similar race two starts back and will be hard to catch if she finds the front. PARISIAN PARTYGIRL (6) and MELIMAC (7) have both been consistent in this company without winning and should be thereabouts again. Tips: 1 4 6 7 Suggested Bet: SHEZ OUR EYE CANDY (1) each way. Bet Now
