Chris Nelson’s Doomben Preview Posted on May 13, 2016May 17, 2016 | Posted by Chris Nelson Chris Nelson’s Preview RACE 2 No.2 Another Whiskey Steele Ryan has this All Bar One gelding absolutely flying this time in having won 2 of his 4 starts which have been his last two outings here and the Sunshine Coast. That Sunshine Coast victory was effortless as he had the race in his keeping a long way from home. Drawn perfectly in gate 1 tomorrow Glen Colless will park him away until needed in the straight, once in clear running look out! RACE 4 No.10 Astronomos Lightly raced staying type from the very much in form David Vandyke stable. Looked a good thing beaten here a fortnight back when unable to gain clear running in the straight until all too late, the margin on the line was minimal. He steps to the 2000m tomorrow which is a distance he’s had two tries at for as many wins. Looks good each-way value. RACE 5 No.11 Tiyatrolani Flying filly from the Tony Gollan yard who is 2 from 2 so far and she’s looked a million dollars on each occasion. She has abundant speed which allows her the early lead however she can back that up at the business end which was the case here last start bolting clear of her opposition in the straight. From the rails gate tomorrow I can’t see her rivals getting even close. Best Bet Race 5 No.11 Tiyatrolani Best Value Race 4 No.10 Astronomos Quaddie 100% 11 2, 3, 8 2, 6, 11, 12 2, 3, 12 Bet Now
