Chris Nelson’s Warwick Farm Best Bets Posted on February 7, 2020February 7, 2020 | Posted by Chris Nelson Chris Nelson’s Best Bets Race 1 No.3 Stella Sea Sun Not really sure what to expect tomorrow with this meeting scheduled to be held at Warwick Farm with Rosehill on standby due to the wet weather. Both tracks are rated a Heavy (9) on Friday morning with a truckload of rain forecast, we are definitely a chance not to race at all. Let’s hope we do and if that’s the case this mare looks the winner of the first. She’s in form and handles the heavy ground well with a win and placing from only the two attempts. Race 3 No.1 Kiamichi Reigning Golden Slipper winner who resumes off a break tomorrow following a couple of average efforts last prep which was only a short one. She’s a recent trial winner in good fashion and if you look at her overall form she is clearly better suited on wet ground, she did win the big one on an absolute bog so the prevailing conditions won’t concern her. Market a strong guide first up however I’m confident she’ll run well. Race 8 No.1 Wu Gok On face value the 1600m looks too short for this one to show up however he is a dead set swimmer and the mile will likely feel a lot further accounting for the heavy ground. Six of his nine career wins have come on heavy going and one on soft which really helps make a strong case for him tomorrow. Well worth an each-way ticket.
