Chris Nelson’s Rosehill Best Bets Posted on January 27, 2023 | Posted by Chris Nelson RACE 4 No.9 Handsome Faces a decent step up in grade on Saturday however his two runs this prep have been terrific and I’m expecting him to measure up strongly. Good late at Wyong he then took on lesser grade at Taree in a race he was expected to win which he did very softly by 7.3 lengths. He did also nominate for the Sunshine Coast on Saturday however connections have decided on this race instead. RACE 8 No.9 Golden Mile Class runner in the Group 2 Expressway. Yes, he’s not going to be fully wound up and will find the trip short of his best however he a class animal, a Group 1 winner last prep and he’s only been defeated twice with both being strong performances. He’s trialled well and I’m confident will take on the older horses successfully. RACE 9 No.4 Bold Mac On the 7 day back up after finishing just out of the placings at Randwick last Saturday. That was a very brave performance sitting 3 wide without cover, even deeper cornering yet giving plenty down the straight. He was never going to win however he was entitled to fold up which certainly wasn’t the case. J Mac jumps on and he’ll ensure a softer run in transit from the decent gate. Quaddie 10, 2 9, 4 4, 2 7, 11, 3 Market Market
