Chris Nelson’s Rosehill Best Bets Posted on March 24, 2022March 26, 2022 | Posted by Chris Nelson RACE 2 No.2 Boyfriend Looks a suitable step up in distance to 1400m for this Ryan/Alexiou trained colt who finished almost alongside Sejardan last time out just being outgunned in the final stages of the race. Liked the way he kept giving though and he was crowded a little a couple of times down the running which didn’t help his cause. Proven on wet ground he might just have a bit on these class wise. RACE 4 No.3 Character Godolphin trained gelding who as with most of his rivals takes the step up to 2000m tomorrow for the first time this prep. Importantly he placed over 2200m in the spring (Listed Geelong Classic) before obviously having excuses when pulling up lame in the Derby. Liked the way he ground out to the finish here in the Phar Lap last start and feel he can go a couple better on Saturday. RACE 8 No.6 Gypsy Goddess Yes, without a doubt this is a decent step up in grade for this very impressive and promising Queensland filly from the David Vandyke yard. Unbeaten at her 5 starts to date she couldn’t have been any more impressive when resuming at Eagle Farm a couple of weeks ago basically toying with her opposition. Happy to suggest she will step up however definitely backing on an each-way basis. Quaddie 11, 1, 2 6, 2, 4 13, 18 8, 7 Market Market
