Chris Nelson’s Kembla Grange Best Bets Posted on November 19, 2021November 19, 2021 | Posted by Chris Nelson RACE 7 No.3 Malkovich Will start favourite in the 300K ‘The Warra’ and it’s very hard to see him being beaten! He has the superior numbers across the board, comes up with the gate to either lead or take a trail if there’s strong opposition early, loves the wet ground which is likely, has yet to miss a placing in 5 starts at this trip which includes 3 wins and last but definitely not least lands James McDonald to do the steering. Enough boxes ticked? RACE 8 No.11 Atishu Capacity line up to go around in this year’s 1 million dollar ‘The Gong’. Very interesting race where I can find a few negatives for some of the more fancied runners and as a result have landed on the Chris Waller pair Atishu and Nudge as my preferred choices. The former should get the right run and has won up to the mile whereas the likes of the favourite Count De Rupee has not. No issues in the wet ground and comes through the Epsom and Golden Eagle which are the right formlines for this race. RACE 9 No.13 Suave Having a ‘throw at the stumps’ with this mare from the Godolphin yard who has been a model of consistency. Yes she does rise in grade however there’s a couple of positives being the step up to 1600m which I feel she’s looking for plus the drop in weight which won’t harm her chances either. Drawn a good alley for Kerrin McEvoy expect her to find a prominent spot early and from there she’ll get her chance at the good price. Quaddie 3 11, 6, 1, 3 13, 9, 17, 5 7, 6, 8, 1 Market Market
