Chris Nelson’s Kembla Grange Best Bets

RACE 5 No.4 Giannis

Chris Waller trained 3yo who resumes tomorrow after placing in the Group 1 J J Atkins at his final 2yo start in June. He’s had the ‘flashing lights’ on him more than once with that get back run home hard pattern he’s continually displayed. The 1500m first up just looks ideal off a couple of winning lead up barrier trials and drawn well being fresh he’s every chance to park a little closer than usual, from there he’ll get his chance. Happy to back on an each-way basis.

RACE 6 No.4 Entriviere

Kiwi mare with a terrific record who has plenty of wraps on her. A dual Group 3 winner back home she ventured across the ditch in April when putting up a herculean performance at Randwick to go down by a very small margin after enduring a horror trip caught wide and working throughout. Resuming tomorrow she’s had the benefit of a recent trial winning that in good fashion. She can return a winner.

RACE 8 No.2 Anamoe

He’s back! Doubt there’s a more hyped horse going into the spring than this colt from the Godolphin yard. Have to admit I’m right up there in the fan club and can’t wait to see him back on the track. Outstanding from last in the Golden Slipper beating all bar the winner before cantering home in the Sires prior to going for a break. Confident he’ll return a winner and from there the skies the limit!
