Chris Nelson’s Ipswich Best Bets Posted on June 17, 2021June 17, 2021 | Posted by Chris Nelson RACE 1 No.7 Millward Although still a maiden he’s shown good ability & can definitely measure up in stronger company tomorrow. Blocked for a run on debut at a vital stage, 3 wide second up yet still looked a winning chance until very late and then first up recently at Doomben fought on very well in a race which was run to suit the closers. Inside gate, box seat, goes close! RACE 6 No.3 Desert Lord Sunshine Coast galloper who resumes tomorrow for the dynamic duo David Vandyke and Ryan Maloney. His first up win last prep was outstanding coming from off the pace to quickly round up the opposition and race away, all under no pressure with Ryan easing him up well before the line. Given a soft recent trial (in quick time) he looks set to win again fresh. RACE 8 No.2 Amish Boy It’s hard to believe he’s only won the single race yet has placed at Group 1, 2 and 3 level and his latest outing at Eagle Farm finished just behind Ayrton who of course has since won easily. Drawn well with the ‘man of the moment’ Craig Williams to steer expect him to be in a winning spot on the turn and from there it’s all up to him. Quaddie 3 2, 6, 1, 3 2, 10, 11 1, 2, 3, 9 Market Market
