Chris Nelson’s Doomben Best Bets Posted on November 27, 2020November 27, 2020 | Posted by Chris Nelson RACE 3 No.9 Gin ‘n’ Bitters Very consistent mare who has accepted for both this race and at the Sunshine Coast tonight (Race 7 # 9). Whichever she goes around in I’m confident she’ll be winning based on her strong yet unlucky effort when racing wide fresh before beating all bar the very smart Niedorp home last time out. Gets her chance to break through and should be doing so! RACE 5 No.11 Toomai Consistent mare who is busting to win a race and if not for her wide draw I’d have her almost my best of the day. Things haven’t panned out her past couple however she’s still managed to clock in second. There’s a long run to the first turn from this starting point which will hopefully see her with some cover and if so lookout for her sweeping home. RACE 8 No.2 Red Chase Can he prove the ‘party pooper’ and break the winning run of The Harrovian who shoots for 10 straight tomorrow? Yes, I think he can! His only sub-par performance came when clocking in 4th here two back when racing too far back on unsuitably soft ground. Last start he was positive from the gate finding the box seat racing clear to the line back on top of the ground and will get similar conditions tomorrow.
