Matt Young’s Friday Narrogin Preview Posted on August 1, 2025August 1, 2025 | Posted by Matt Young Race 1 SNIPES MAGIC (9) looks better suited to the middle distance as he never gave up the chase last time out but just ran out of ground, can be put into the race at some stage and lacks a bit of top end speed but can work them into the ground. BY ROYAL COMMAND (10) is not racing at his best but this seems to be a lot easier and will be running home strongly. Expecting an improvement from TRICKY TREV (5) who has shown glimpses last time in, keep safe. TAYLORS BOY FRED (8) should follow through nicely and will have the last crack at them and DO IT MY WAY (6) was better last run but needs luck from the draw. Tips: 9 10 5 8 Suggested Bet: SNIPES MAGIC (9) to win. Race 2 JACK MANNIX (9) looks nicely placed here, showing some strings to his bow in this grade and can watch things unfold early before playing a significant role late. SPEED FORCE (2) has the speed to lead; his best form is at this shorter trip but still not at his best. DAWSON SHARD (3) has been consistent since returning, will be in the finish again. TELL ITIN HEAVEN (6) will be running forward with GALEOCERDO CUVIER (5) both of those horses are quick early, could create tempo. DEKLA DIVA (10) has been sound since resuming, keep safe. BARTLETT (4) needs a lot to go right as he is a snail early. Tips: 9 3 10 2 Suggested Bet: JACK MANNIX (9) to win. Race 3 SUN AND SAND (1) has options from the draw but has the speed to lead, was held up although well beaten in metro grade recently and this grade suits, looks to be an improver. ASHANTI PRINCESS (3) has an awkward draw given her racing style and early speed, but she is racing well. LIQUIDATOR (6) could charge across, would have strong claims if he could lead as this appears easier. HUGHEY (5) is racing soundly. MAJOR CLASS (9) hasn’t reached his top since returning but his best is good enough to include. IM GRAFTER (7) a novelty chance and CODENAME ELLIOT (8) can mix form but will be running on. Tips: 1 6 3 8 Suggested Bet: SUN AND SAND (1) each way. Race 4 SHES A MARE (9) came back from a break and hit the line strongly last time out, looks to be enough genuine tempo in the race to bring her into it and the first up run was very encouraging. MADDY LOU (1) creates a lot of interest off the inside draw, has speed and could run a bold race as well as PUREST COPPER (10) who is the tougher of the two but is also first up but from a bad draw. HIGHLY FLAMMABLE (5) has improved recently and even from the tricky draw he comes in with claims. FOLLOW THE MUSIC (6) racing well but like the 5, he will need some luck in running. ISAIDBOO (7) always a novelty chance. Tips: 9 1 5 10 Suggested Bet: SHES A MARE (9) to win. Race 5 SPORTING GRACE (1) was a winner when leading at the mile two starts ago, has the draw, has the distance and looks to burn out and get the job done, very keen. KEPTAIN COURAGEOUS (7) will be dangerous if he can hold the back of the leader early, perfect draw for him. FRANKENSTEINSBRIDE (2) racing soundly, has options from the draw and looks a novelty chance. WORLD SECRET (5) is suited in this class, could be an improver. GET YA BETS ON (6) not yet back to his better form, more of a place chance. TEMPT THE STARS (8) can be included in the novelties and TUX AND TAILS (9) may need the run, he comes in fresh. Tips: 1 7 5 8 Suggested Bet: SPORTING GRACE (1) to win. Race 6 ELEPHANT ROCK (7) has a lovely draw and looks to follow the potential leader; he has been racing soundly and this grade suits and looks to get a good run and be dangerous late. RADIANT BAY (1) has yet to show anything to exciting since entering the new stable, has the draw to be prominent. SANFORD BART (8) will follow through and be close enough, likely to be dangerous. JORDANO (2) can improve but mixing his form. CIAO BABE (5) is racing soundly but finds it hard to break through and SPORTS CENTRAL (6) comes in fresh. Tips: 7 8 1 5 Suggested Bet. ELEPHANT ROCK (7) each way. Market Market
