Scott’s Saturday Ascot Preview Posted on January 11, 2018January 11, 2018 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 REBOW was impressive at his WA debut and this step up in trip looks ideal. If he finds the front he goes extremely close. QUIET WHISPER gets in with a postage stamp weight and races on pace. FREO unlike his namesake is honest and consistent. SPIN ON COMMAND has x-factor. Numbers: 5 – 8 – 4 – 9 Suggested Bet – REBOW WIN SuperPick - Race 1 No. 5 REBOW - Win Boost Race 2 WILLOW RIVER is drawn in the Swan river but she looks very talented and capable of jumping and running well on debut for some big name owners. CINNAMON RUN was luckless on debut, should box-seat. SHE’S A GALAH has trialed up well. CAROLINA REAPER improves back to the sprint trip. Numbers: 14 – 3 – 11 – 1 Suggested Bet – WILLOW RIVER EACHWAY Race 3 COGNAC is fool proof. Will end up outside the leader, whoever that is, and run another tough on-speed race. STREET FURY had its chance last start and should get another opportunity here. SUPREME FORCE brings intrigue from the trials. FLASH OF THUNDER has been scratched a couple of times since winning his maiden in style. Numbers 1 – 5 – 6 -2 Suggested Bet – COGNAC EACHWAY Race 4 CAIPIRINHA gets conditions to suit, small field, inside draw and no pressure. This has to be her race. DAINTY TESS looks the logical and only danger. METEOROID is probably suited over further at this stage of her career. VOLKOFF gets to the outside and runs home. Numbers: 6 – 2 – 4 – 1 Suggested Bet – CAIPIRINHA WIN Race 5 RIVER DANCE has been belting moderate opposition at punters paradise Utakarra. This is tougher but he is more than capable. NELSON’S FLIGHT was on his worst behavior first-up, forget he went round. OLIVER’S TRAVELS was stiff fresh and can go close. ACTION is undefeated but this is his toughest test yet first-up against older horses. Numbers: 1 – 6 – 2 – 7 Suggested Bet – RIVER DANCE EACHWAY Race 6 BELTER won impressively first-up at this trip last preparation. His recent trial was eye catching. Only concern is how far back he gets shuffled in running. MANTIME is knocking down the door. HOSTWIN PEGASUS is always running on. MIGHTY BLONDE gets in under the radar and was better than reads on paper down the straight. Numbers: 2 – 5 – 3 -1 Suggested Bet – BELTER EACHWAY Race 7 KEY TO FAME was a much improved effort at his most recent and with the claim of Maddison Brown gets in with a winnable weight from a perfect draw. STAR GLITTER was enormous first-up and grows a leg for Brad Parnham. TOP OF THE CLASS the one to beat but her racing pattern is not suited at Ascot. HELMS GATE has been luckless at both runs. Numbers: 3 – 6 – 10 – 8 Suggested Bet – KEY TO FAME EACHWAY Race 8 GUNNAGO is a minor query at the trip but he should position up closer than recent starts. WOODSVILLE has found a rich vein of form and can continue on his merry way. TOUCH OF SILVER freshened up looks a massive positive. CAPPO D’ORO carries no weight, won well last start and is suited at the trip. Numbers: 3 – 2 – 1 – 9 Suggested Bet – GUNNAGO WIN Quaddie (Races 5 – 8) 1,2,6,7 1,2,3,5,7,8 1,3,6,7,8,10 1,2,3,7,9,12 Bet Now
