Trent’s Gloucester Park Preview Posted on January 11, 2018 | Posted by Trent Cooper Trent Cooper’s Preview Race 1: RETRAVISION 3YO FILLIES MS PACE MISS SANGRIAL (2) has had excuses at her last couple when beaten as favourite. She trialled reasonably on Sunday since choking down on Friday and would win this comfortably if at her top but there must be some queries. CIMORENE (1) was a strong 2nd at her first start back from a spell and is the obvious danger from the pole. OUR MAJOR MAMA (4) was a good winner before breaking gear last start and must be considered. SLICK ARTIST (5) is first up without a trial but showed ability as a 2YO so watch the betting. Tips: 2 1 4 5 Suggested Bet: CIMORENE (1) each way. Race 2: RETRAVISION.COM.AU MS PACE MESSI (4) has been very disappointing and has been a beaten favourite far too often but gets one last chance here. His gate speed wasn’t used last start but he can find the top if driven aggressively tonight and should give them something to catch. REAL LUCKY (10) has won three of his last four race but has an awkward draw to overcome. KERRIN JOSEPH (11) looked the winner in the run when beaten in a photo last week and should be in the finish again. MIGHTY FLYING DEAL (12) brings good country form to town. Tips: 4 10 11 12 Suggested Bet: MESSI (4) to win. Race 3: RETRAVISION 60 DAY PRICE PROMISE MARES MS PACE MACZAFFAIR (9) was well driven to run 2nd to Ultimate Machete in the Golden Nugget and has won two of her three starts in easier company since. This looks weaker again and she should overcome the wide draw. BETTOR BOA (12) had her chance when leading last week but should be running on in this field. LADYS ARE IDEAL (10) has won two of her last four in moderate company and should enjoy a soft run on the pegs. IM ZULEIKA (3) is in great form on outer country tracks and can be placed at odds. Tips: 9 12 10 3 Suggested Bet: MACZAFFAIR (9) to win. Race 4: RETRAVISION LOWEST PRICE GUARANTEE MS PACE A PICCADILLY PRINCESS (10) has only won one of her five WA starts this campaign but she hasn’t had much luck. She has faced the breeze at her past two when placed behind My Hard Copy and then Devendra and will be hard to hold out if she sees daylight from this draw. DELIGHTFUL OFFER (1) will be fitter for his first up run and can be a big improver from the pole. AMERICAN BOY (4) ran on well last start and is drawn to be thereabouts. ZACH MAGUIRE (9) is an emergency for the Freo Cup but is drawn poorly. Tips: 10 1 4 9 Suggested Bet: A PICCADILLY PRINCESS (10) to win. Race 5: RETRAVISION FREMANTLE PACING CUP MS PACE LAZARUS (5) was a dominant winner of the Interdominion and showed that he was cherry ripe for this assignment with a big win here last week. The draw looks nice for him and he can assert his authority again. CHICAGO BULL (4) ran 2nd to LAZARUS (5) in the Inters final and resumed with a nice 3rd to BETTORS FIRE (1). He should enjoy a good run in the moving line and could be the danger. ULTIMATE MACHETE (2) sat outside Tiger Tara and beat that pacer in the NZ FFA and has won his three WA starts in style so must be respected. SOHO TRIBECA (9) is drawn wide but is too good to overlook completely. Tips: 5 4 1 2 Suggested Bet: CHICAGO BULL (4) each way. Race 6: RETRAVISION AIR CONDITIONING MS PACE LIVURA (11) continues to race consistently and is well drawn tonight. He ran on solidly to finish 3rd to Maczaffair last start and should be right in the finish. BRONZE SEEKER (1) was held up when 2nd here last start and has the option to lead or take a sit from this draw. SPRINGSTEEN (2) has hit top form and would give them something to catch if he can find the top. MAJOR CATASTROPHE (7) was a strong last start 2nd from the breeze and will be put into the race again. Tips: 11 1 2 7 Suggested Bet: LIVURA (11) each way. Race 7: RETRAVISION FACEBOOK MS PACE MIGHTY FLYING THOMAS (1) ran on well at his first start this campaign. He has shown pace on occasions and won’t find a better chance to win another race. RED SALUTE (5) has only been placed once in his last 21 starts but will appreciate the return to the mobile tonight. EXTREME PRINCE (3) has finished near the rear at his last three starts but should be a big improver from this draw with Jnr back in the cart. WEBB ELLIS (2) did lead throughout over this trip in 1.54.6 four starts so must be respected. Tips: 1 5 3 2 Suggested Bet: MIGHTY FLYING THOMAS (1) each way. Race 8: FOR ALL THE STUFF YOU LOVE CONDITIONED HANDICAP SS PACE IDEALINDIAMONDS (7) has won five of his seven WA starts and was a strong 2nd to ASSASSINATOR (9) here a fortnight ago. He meets that pacer on equal terms tonight and can reverse the result. IM ROCKARIA (6) has been tackling stronger company from bad barriers and should be a big improver if he handles the stand. ASSASSINATOR (9) is ultra-consistent in standing start events and should be in the finish again. ANOTHER AYJAY (1) is a stand specialist who has been racing well at Busselton and can be placed. Tips: 7 9 6 1 Suggested Bet: IDEALINDIAMONDS (7) to win. SuperPick - Race 8 No. 7 IDEALINDIAMONDS - Money Back RACE 9: RETRAVISION HALF YEARLY CLEARANCE THE IMTHEMIGHTYQUINN QUALIFYING HEAT 2 DREDLOCK ROCKSTAR (2) had been out of the winners’ circle for a while but returned to it in style with a 2m win over Atlastalone at Bunbury. He is nicely drawn tonight and looks a great chance to record back-to-back victories. IMA ROCKNROLL LEGEND (9) ran on well to break through after four consecutive placings and has the class to overcome the wide barrier. A BIT RUTHLESS (1) has been racing in stands but should be considered from the pole. MASTER JAXON (6) suffered a flat tyre last start and can be given one more chance. Tips: 2 9 1 6 SUGGESTED BET: DREDLOCK ROCKSTAR (2) to win. RACE 10: RETRAVISION YOUR FUJITSU SPECIALIST MS PACE WARDAN EXPRESS (3) finished near the rear at his three WA starts but they were in considerably stronger company than he meets tonight. He is now with the Hall stable and should be winning this moderate affair. MAKINCHANGES (6) was a great last start winner and can make his presence felt despite the draw. IM BATMAN (4) has shown ability on occasions and has had a change of trainer. TANAKA EAGLE (8) has lost form since tackling the Inters series but drops further in class tonight. Tips: 3 6 4 8 SUGGESTED BET: WARDAN EXPRESS (3) to win. Bet Now
