Matt Young’s Tuesday Gloucester Park Preview

Race 1

Open race here. WANDERIN STAR (2) returns from the good draw and has shown enough promise to play a part but hasn’t had a recent trial so there is some queries over fitness. SNAKEY BAY (4) has good early speed and expect them to be chips in with her, last run was very good and think she will go well if she could cross. TOFFEE APPLE (1) could be an improver second up from the good draw. DEKLA DIVA (3) has been sound enough to be considered a chance from the draw. ELIZABETH AITCH (9) is probably the best horse in the field, but she doesn’t always produce her best and the draw over a mile is challenging. ELLEOFAREACTOR (10) will have to be driven conservatively this week and that could be beneficial in this and CARA DIANA (11) to be running on.

Tips: 4 2 3 9

Suggested Bet: SNAKEY BAY (4) each way.

Race 2

SHEZA BROMAC (8) could spear across and lead this field, looks the winner if she can cross to the pegs and I am expecting her to do so, form has been against stronger and this looks to suit. LIQUIDATOR (6) could push the button early as well but likely take the cover over the middle distance if she found the pegs and be a solid place chance. SHES MY LITTLE GEM (2) is racing well but early speed continues to be a concern for her. FUEGO CRUZADO (7) is consistent enough but will have to do some work here. MISS KNOWALL (3) capable but first up, so there is doubt there.

Suggested Bet: SHEZA BROMAC (8) to win.

Race 3

Challenging race. DOURADO (6) is second up and liked his first up run, that should bring him on nicely and looks a strong player in this. HES NEVER BEEN BETA (8) can do his fair share of heavy lifting in races and will likely head forward and be the aggressor and will run well. REELEM INN (2) was disappointing last time out but is capable of improvement in this from the draw. HENTY (3) is a tricky one to get a gauge on, looks to have ability. CHACO EAGLE (7) may need the run but is talented and MY SILVER SPOON (9) falls into that category as well.

Tips: 6 8 2 3

Suggested Bet: DOURADO (6) each way.

Race 4

AT THE POINTY END (3) will be charging off the gate looking for the top and should be a better version of herself here being second up today and looks a strong chance. MEDIEVAL MAN (8) is second up as well and can be put into the race and looks to run a good race, he got home well on return and has upside. MIKI WINDERMERE (6) getting up in grade but can run the times. Place chances to LUKE ATTACK (1), UNDER THE ALTA (2), JAXON MORGAN (10) and MAJIC BAY (12).

Tips: 3 8 6 2

Suggested Bet: AT THE POINTY END/MEDIEVAL MAN to quinella.

Race 5

HOTFOOT IT (1) has options from the draw but is a nice type on speed and this looks suitable again, can go back-to-back here. JINGLING JEWELS (2) is racing consistently but does do his better work racing at the shorter trips. CULLEN STAR (3) is capable as he looks to return strongly, draw suggests he wouldn’t be too far away. HURRICANEHOPE (4) and HES THUNDER (6) are consistent but likely be doing some bullocking work.

Tips: 1 3 2 6

Suggested Bet: HOTFOOT IT (1) to win.

Race 6

DON’T GOIN THEWATER (5) looks perfectly drawn here, likely to head forward hard and looks to find the top and from there should be able to get the job done on recent form. SONIC SEELSTER (3) has got the speed to lead and ran a better race last time out, but he is a lead and sit type horse and expect that to happen again. JILLIBY JAKE (6) was a nice effort last run and is starting to work into his form, will have to do some work to win the race and do prefer him on the pegs. FIREBALL FRIDAY (2) is a novelty chance and so is ZUEDE (3) and METEOROID (7) who will both be running on.

Tips: 5 3 7 6

Suggested Bet: DON’T GOIN THEWATER (5) to win.

Race 7

CURADH (6) ran into a quickly run race last time out and wasn’t disgraced in his performance, this grade looks suitable and appears to be very hard to beat. BROOKVALEGIRL (2) should be improved again and looks a strong chance as she should be in the lead and can go close. ROCKSTAR QUALITY (7) has put in two disappointing runs; he is up to these but needs to bounce back on those recent efforts. EASTERN ADVANCE (8) has been racing well but will need luck from the wide draw. LUCY VICTORIA (1) has the draw and is a decent place chance.

Tips: 6 2 1 8

Suggested Bet: CURADH (6) to win.

Race 8

MAJOR MIKI WHITBY (4) won well last time out, a little bit of conjecture over whether he could find the top, but he has the draw advantage over two of his main rivals and expect him to be driven like the best horse and can get the win. KOOJAN (1) holds the key in many ways to the race, consistent type who has the good draw. WHEN IN VEGAS (6) has improved greatly in recent runs and must be respected and DELULU (7) has really flourished since being driven for one run and expect that to happen again tonight, but the tempo might not suit as well. MANHATTAN RUBY (5) is capable.

Tips: 4 7 6 1

Suggested Bet: MAJOR MIKI WHITBY (4) to win.

Race 9

SHIMMERING (7) should bounce off the run Friday night and into this looking very hard to beat, was narrowly beaten on debut against a couple of lively types and this looks suitable. SHERICKA (1) has been improving and has the nice draw, keep safe. STAYCATION (5) hit the line well last time out and there is a win in store shortly just not sure it is this evening’s race. TORREVEAN ENVY ME (4) showed some promise in trials and comes in with no trials, could be an indication of talent behind the scenes.

Tips: 7 1 5 4

Suggested Bet: SHIMMERING (7) to win.
