Matt Young’s Saturday Narrogin Preview Posted on July 4, 2025July 4, 2025 | Posted by Matt Young Race 1 Open race. BLIND EDITION (1) has the speed to lead early and can pick and choose who he sits on, HEAVENLY BLISS (4) also on the quick backup will likely head forward and SUN AND SAND (6) could as well, at this stage prefer the depth of SUN AND SAND (6) out of that trio as the strongest winning chance. SANFORD BART (9) had a flat tyre last time out and was a solid winner two starts prior, looks a decent chance and can watch things unfold. DISPATCHER (7) is very capable with even luck, has a lot of high speed. SWANBOURNE SPUNK (8) will come in with each way claims, can also watch things unfold and has some depth in this grade. PHILTHEJUG (10) better fitness wise after a freshen up and 5th, tricky draw to overcome. Tips: 6 7 8 9 Suggested Bet: SUN AND SAND (6) each way. Race 2 GINNIVAN (3) has been luckless in his last few, has an issue with wanting to hang in which ultimately cost him victory last time out, can be driven to try and get the top and out in front I think he will be hard to beat. DIAMOND WORLD (8) has a nice drop in grade and looks a strong chance, can get keen and likely heads forward at some stage. SPEED FORCE (2) can use his early speed and come into novelty contention from a soft run. ALTA KING (4) on the quick backup, this looks a touch more challenging, but he is capable. EILEENMAY (7) and THE WHIZZER (10) both capable of filling a novelty position but just needs some luck. Tips: 3 8 4 10 Suggested Bet: GINNIVAN (3) to win. Race 3 Tactically fascinating affair. LOCH TAY (1) has the ideal draw and runs since returning have been solid and has that early speed, each way chance with those options. SHES A TINY DANCER (2) likely to get to finally show her best, has been luckless and bumped into some good ones, has the advantage over one of the other fancies and she’ll get every chance tonight. ATLANTIC GEM (5) is a talented type and must be respected, looks hard to hold and is versatile. BONNE AMOUR (8) was eye catching last run, comes into novelty contention with DON DIABLO (7) who continues to improve and rises in grade. Tips: 2 5 1 8 Suggested Bet: SHES A TINY DANCER (2) to win. Race 4 LUHRSY (6) is racing without the ultimate reward, likely heads forward again and can do the work and looks hard to beat, he has been consistent but just doesn’t win out of turn. TIMES TICKIN (1) was better last time out, has a nice draw and could run a solid race in this grade. KEPTAIN COURAGEOUS (8) will be running home strongly, he has been consistent. FOLLOW THE MUSIC (5) is racing well but this is harder again and races from an awkward draw. TILLY SWIFT (7) better last run, place hope from the rail. ESCAPEFROMREALITY (9) has lifted but prefer her on speed and JAMIE KIM (10) falls into the same category. Tips: 6 1 8 5 Suggested Bet: TIMES TICKIN (1) each way. Race 5 JIMMY ROCKS (9) could punch through and get the advantage over some of his main rivals and since coming back from a spell he has been racing strongly, versatility helps him and further improvement in fitness with more racing also helps him, hard to beat. PUSHBUTTON ROCK (1) has options from the draw, has the early speed to lead and is racing with great consistency. MAXIMUM ROCK (8) will be fitter and looks the main danger on ability, could just be an awkward map for him, capable of overcoming that. LENORA JANE (2) has a tricky draw, needs a cuddle up, more of a novelty chance. RELLIM (3) has been luckless, could get a good run here. BRONZED (7) could require some luck from the draw but is a better horse on the rails and will get a soft run. Tips: 9 8 1 3 Suggested Bet: JIMMY ROCKS (9) to win. Race 6 FILLMYPOCKET (2) looks well placed on return and strikes a suitable race, looked to have ability last time in and appears hardest to beat in this. DOWNBYTHEAVENUE (6) returns from an awkward draw but has shown good versatility and must be respected in her return. CIGANDA (3) can mix her form but chased a hot speed last time out and couldn’t handle it, the small field suits and shouldn’t be far away, likely be dangerous in the concluding stages. SHECANPLAY (7), SHESA DELIGHT (8) and HEAD OFFICE (4) can all be considered novelty chances. Tips: 2 6 3 4 Suggested Bet: FILLMYPOCKET (2) to win. Race 7 LUZIA (4) has always promised a bit and we a starting to see some consistency from him, looks hard to beat off the back of an eye-catching run last time out. FLOAT MY BOAT (6) comes into this race with a drop in grade, has shown promise and will run a bold race except he may have to be driven more assertively. CAMEL PLUS (3) was decent on return and has some early speed, could be an improver here. REPOSSESSION (7) is racing well and can be the swooper late in the race, keep safe. Tips: 4 6 7 3 Suggested Bet: LUZIA (4) to win. Market Market
