Race 1

ATLANTIC GEM (3) didn’t have much luck when 10th to NASE VIRA (5) before facing the breeze and running a solid 2nd at Bunbury. She has the barrier advantage over her main rivals tonight and looks the one to beat. NASE VIRA (5) demolished a similar field in quick time at her last start and is the obvious danger but she may not be able to find the front here. XCEPTIONAL ARMA (9) started from this draw when 3rd in that event and can be in the finish again. SOHO HONEY RIDER (7) is up to these on ability but the draw makes it tough.

Suggested Bet: ATLANTIC GEM (3) win.

Race 2

GOODFELLAZ (3) is an inconsistent type but he ran a brave 2nd in 1.54.9 here last week and a repeat performance should see him winning this event. NAVY STREET (1) has gate speed and options from the pole and can improve sharply on his unplaced sequence of seven starts. MEGA MACH (10) finished just behind the placegetters at huge odds at his last start and is drawn to get a soft run on the pegs. SHOWPONY (9) is working back to his best form but will need some luck from out here.

Suggested Bet: GOODFELLAZ (3) to win.

Race 3

WHATARETHEODDS (6) has performed well in his two runs back from a spell and this looks a race that he can be driven aggressively and be hard to beat. RAGAZZO MACH (10) will strip fitter for his first-up second after a long break and will be suited if there is a solid tempo. STAR CASINO (3) chased hard when 2nd to Gee Heza Sport here last week and is drawn inside his main rivals. IMA FIVESTAR GENERAL (4) ran his race in spurts last week but still performed admirably when 2nd to Magnus Victor and can be in the finish again.

Suggested Bet: WHATARETHEODDS (6) to win.

Race 4

CAPTAIN RAVISHING (5) was an impressive 1.55.3 winner at his first state in WA before running a game 4th in the Pacing Cup after working hard in the last lap. He is awkwardly drawn over the sprint trip but still appeals as the one to beat. TO FAST TO SERIOUS (1) is suited from the pole and should give a great sight at each way odds. JAWSOFLINCOLN (10) is drawn to get a soft run on the pegs and will be dangerous if he gets out at the right time. TRICKY MIKI (4) has the barrier advantage over the class runners but doesn’t appear to be at his best.

Tips: 5 1 4 10

Suggested Bet: CAPTAIN RAVISHING (5) to win.

Race 5

MISTER SMARTEE (4) has won 13 of his 16 career starts and lost no admirers when 2nd in the Pacing Cup. He drops back to his own age group and is clearly the one to beat. SORRIDERE (3) won his first two starts back from a spell before being narrowly beaten in the 4YO Championship and looks the leader and obvious danger. LUSAKA (10) will need some luck but will be charging home if he sees daylight at the right time. LOUIE DIOR (5) is racing well and is a blowout chance at massive odds.

Tips: 4 3 10 5

Suggested Bet: MISTER SMARTEE (4) to win.

Race 6

CALIENTE (2) is racing well in stands on country circuits and he will give them something to catch if he can find the front in the early stages. BRICKIES DREAM (9) was a good mobile winner here last week and he has been placed in seven of his eight attempts from the stand. SOHO SANTORINI (8) ran 2nd in that event and should be thereabouts again. CONEY ISLAND LOU (7) was very disappointing first-up but his best would win a race of this nature.

Tips: 2 9 8 7

Suggested Bet: CALIENTE (2) to win.

Race 7

INSTA GATOR (2) is racing extremely well and will be extremely hard to beat if he can hold the horses to his outside in the early stages. SPICEY MAJOR (8) has used his gate speed to great effect in leading throughout at his two WA starts and will be hard to catch if he can cross at the start. PENNY BLACK (4) had no luck in the two mares’ classics but can improve sharply here. TANTABIDDI (1) may elect to take a sit here and would be a good place chance under that scenario.

Suggested Bet: INSTA GATOR (2) to win.

Race 8

MONTANA GLORY (2) has been unplaced at her last five starts but she looks the leader here and will make things difficult for her main danger. PEACEFUL (9) is flying and drops in class and she has the strength to overcome her wide barrier. REBLINE (4) is racing consistently and can win if the two favourites declare war too soon. SEAGRASS (5) has finished 2nd at her last three starts in easier company and shouldn’t be too far away.

Tips: 2 9 4 5

Suggested Bet: MONTANA GLORY (2) to win.

Race 9

THE MIKI TAKER (3) was well backed at his last start but had no luck when caught wide throughout and this looks a more suitable assignment. HAMPTON BANNER (5) is a good chance to cross at the start and will give a great sight in that role. RASCAL (2) is back in form and should be prominent throughout from his nice draw. GALACTIC STAR (4) is an old marvel and a win in this race isn’t beyond him if there is a solid tempo.

Tips: 3 5 2 4
