Warren Huntly’s Saturday Sandown Preview Posted on May 24, 2024 | Posted by Warren Huntly Race 1 SHE’S GOT PIZZAZZ had jumped out impressively prior to her encouraging debut, she gets a tongue tie on and the form around her debut is strong. FLATTERED drops in grade and will be strong late coming back to 1000m. HEINOUS comes through some strong races, he was only beaten narrowly last start and gets blinkers on. ESRAAR has looked particularly sharp at the jumpouts. Selections: 3,2,6,5 Suggested Bet: She’s Got Pizzazz each way Race 2 BATOKA CHIEF sprinted impressively to win on debut and looks capable of making the rise in grade. TACUMWAH overcame difficulties to win an easier race second up and stays down in the weights. SOME PEOPLE CALLME raced in inferior ground in the home straight last start and gets blinkers off. LADY IN PINK is fit and racing well. HYDROGEN POWER was no match for his stablemate last time but will strip fitter. Selections: 9,8,3,5 Suggested Bet: Batoka Chief each way Race 3 ENNA’S DREAM has plenty of upside, she hit the line strongly second up and will relish the rise in distance. ELPHINSTONE is building a handy record, she found trouble last start and may be suited with a senior rider back aboard. MISS ARIA may have found the right part of the track to beat some key rivals last start but looks hard to beat again. FLOOZIE has been close behind Miss Aria of late and must have a case. FLYING FIZZ and MAURICIO have claims. Selections: 6,2,1,10 Suggested Bet: Enna’s Dream each way Same Race Multi: Enna’s Dream (Top 2) + Elphinstone (Top 4) Race 4 FASUTO seems to appreciate being kept on the fresh side and appears to have found another suitable race. MRS CHRISSE was able to control her race against the girls last start and is likely to get a similar set up here. PORT ALBERT has jumped out particularly well to resume and can be part of the speed. ORACLE SON maps for a good run behind the speed. Selections: 1,6,9,8 Suggested Bet: Fasuto each way Race 5 MI ROCK ALY will make her own luck. She drops in grade from the Warrnambool Cup and her previous run, testing Samuel Langhorne, reads well for this. THE GENIUS will need some luck from the draw but improved nicely second up and is open to further improvement. VIVIDEEL had the pattern in his favour at Warrnambool but his previous for was strong and will ride the speed again. SING FOR PEACE usually hits a flat spot but had some excuses last time and will be strong late. Selections: 9,6,4,2 Suggested Bet: Mi Rock Aly each way Race 6 PRECIOUS CHARM got the right run but bounced back to form second up and should strip fitter again. MATRIARCH ROSE is racing in great form, she stays down in the weights after the claim and gets visors on. GREAT TASTE hit the line strongly second up maps for a good run. BRAZEN LADY is some query at 1600m but is hard fit and gets a slight weight swing on Precious Charm for the meeting during the Flemington Carnival. Selections: 4,11,14,8 Suggested Bet: Precious Charm each way Race 7 The interstate visitor, HIGHLIGHTS, should ride the speed with Newitt aboard and prove hard to get past. The form through his last start is strong, with Fall For Cindy winning the Group 3 Dark Jewel at Scone. LET’SROLLTHEDICE shapes as a strong danger and also looks likely to be part of the speed. SMOKIN’ ROMANS did enough first up and will appreciate the rise in trip. BELTORO and PUDDING come through the same race in Adelaide and both have some claims. Selections: 7,2,1,4 Suggested Bet: Highlights to win Race 8 HARD TO CROSS has returned in great form, he rises in grade but gets right down in the weights after the claim and looks hard to beat again. His stablemate, TROSETTEE, may be looking for further and had some favours with the track pattern when narrowly beaten first up but can figure with any luck from the draw. MATRON BULLWINKEL will strip fitter for her first up effort in an on speed dominated race. GEORGIE GET MAD is racing well and will make his own luck. JABBAWOCKEEZ has returned in terrific form and any sting out of the ground would be a bonus. Selections: 9,8,10,14 Suggested Bet: Hard To Cross each way Race 9 BIGOLINO will strip fitter for an encouraging first up run. He will settle in a forward position and gets some weight relief after the claim. CAWDOR has been jumping out in great style for his Australian debut and looks suited kicking off at 1400m. PRINCE OF HELENA caught the eye first up and looks well placed stepping up to 1400m on a spacious track. STARLIGHT SCOPE has returned and good form and can make her own luck. LOUNGE BAR RUBI comes through the same race as Prince Of Helena and will also appreciate 1400m. Selections: 12,17,6,10 Suggested Bet: Bigolino each way Race 10 KING MAGNUS was disadvantaged drifting back to the worst part of the track second up and maps for a good run. NICOLINI VITO will also be close to peak fitness, he’s racing well and may be looking for 1400m now. GENTLEMAN ROY did enough first up in the same race as King Magnus and was also caught in the worst ground. SO RISQUE, JUNIPAL and DEVOTED are among the other chances in an open finish. Selections: 1,7,2,17 Suggested Bet: King Magnus each way Market Market
