Harry Buchanans Friday Greyhound Best Bets Posted on May 24, 2024May 24, 2024 | Posted by TABtouch MANDURAH Race 1 No. 1 Trendy Miss Finally draws the red and it’s now or never. A few of these favs are the wrong away around and could check up early and this will give her every chance to hold the fence and a spot. If she’s close she will hit top two. Race 2 No. 3 West On Odie and No. 4 Butter Me Up The 5 was unlucky not to punch through and lead last week. Stepped well but squeezed out in the middle and had no luck after that. Can improve immensely. The 4 continues to repeat the same thing every start. Steps, flat spot, comes again late. Nothing will change there and that will see her around the mark as always here. Race 3 No. 8 Ike Bale Enzo and Greedy have three former Vic speedsters debuting here in this race. While the 2 and 7 are good and will be winning their share of races and they trialled ok, it’s the 8 who is the one they all have to stop. A winner of 22 starts, blessed with blistering early speed, he has mixed it successfully with Yachi Bale, Morton, Big Energy, Launch Code, Shim a Shadow, the list goes on and on. Handles every box, every track and excels on one turn circuits. The 22.21 trial here last Saturday on a very slow track where the other two were the next best at 22.4 and that completes the preparation for a first up assault and he will take no end of stopping here. Race 4 No. 7 West On Boomer and No. 8 Harley Monelli Back to his happy ground here for the 7 who will relish the box and the opposition. Has a great record track and trip and will look to lead off a good step. He will give the 8 and early cart over and her late race strength will bode will here in the small field and while she is yet to strike here, she is capable of doing just that in this race. Race 5 No. 8 Glasgow Boy and No. 6 Taming The Tiger The kennel mates for Kirsty backing up from earlier in the week and they can figure here. The 8 is well housed out wide and he’s starting to muster into his races with conviction. Gets room to operate here and can go real well. The 6 keeps stepping quickly and she met trouble when dragged from behind the other day. Can get away on the arm and she sticks on strongly late as well. Both solid shows with a lean to the 8 on top. Race 6 No. 6 Sunset Nightjar and No. 8 Lil Bit Twisted The Chase final and an even lot here. The 6 looks well placed and I expect him to show that early dash he delivered last week in his all the way win. His map looks kind and he can be hard to catch here. The 8 is perfectly drawn. Goes around the outside fence and will muster up quickly out wide and sustain a solid wide run home. Any inside trouble and he will drop on them. Good final with many hopes. Race 7 No. 5 Custard Monelli and No. 7 Hinto The 5 might find the top here and he’s slowly getting these 500s a little better again at the back end. Good run last week at Cannington and will go close here. The 7 is a winner. Never lays down and just keeps coming no matter what. Will be short but will go close to justifying that quote. The one to beat. Race 8 No. 6 Jimmys Jet and No. 8 Go Seek Arianna The 6 resumes and while I can’t back him off the box, I can’t tip against him. This will show us what he’s got early around dogs without a gift draw. If he leads, he walks in. The 8 will mix herself into the exotics and the box is ok for her here. Can get up there early and she sticks on well. Place heavy at least for her. Race 9 No. 8 Bodacious Beau It’s not a race you would sit up for and that’s why the 7 won’t get a gift like this any time soon. He’s no star himself but his best would be winning and the box is where he wants to be for mine. Nothing silly but can go well. SANDOWN Race 1 No. 7 Flying Dinar and No. 3 Oscar Intention Race 4 No. 1 Uriah Bale Race 5 No. 3 Ethanol Volume and No. 4 Fabs Vegetable Race 6 No. 5 Zipping Whiskey Race 7 No. 5 Succeed and No. 4 Granny Roses SANDOWN CUP (715M) Race 8 No. 4 Canya Amy, No. 6 Irish Millie and No. 1 Volpolicella Race 10 No. 3 Sally Intention and No. 4 Bye Georgie Race 11 No. 7 Minter Frost Race 12 No. 6 Tigger Intention Market Market
