Warren Huntly’s Wednesday Sandown Preview Posted on February 20, 2024February 20, 2024 | Posted by Warren Huntly Race 1 QUICKSTER showed above average talent in her first prep and accelerated nicely to win a recent jumpout. RIVER ROSE is race fit, consistent and should settle in the first four. UNIVERSAL HARMONY is another to show talent in her first campaign and was given a solid hit out in a recent jumpout. FURY chased well in the same race as River Rose last start. Selections: 9,10,6,3 Suggested Bet: Quickster to win Race 2 LOST had too much to do against a slow tempo in a leader dominated race first up and should settle closer here. LAZY SUSAN is hard fit, racing well and can make her own luck. CUBAN LINK didn’t have the best of luck in the same race as Lazy Susan and will be strong late. RED DATES has jumped out well to resume. Selections: 3,2,1,6 Suggested Bet: Lost to win Race 3 Plenty to learn. YES LULU has looked good in a couple of recent jumpouts and should make her presence felt on debut. RENEGE has jumped out in great style to kick off his second prep. MEDICI has been given a quiet time in a couple of recent jumpouts but seemed to have plenty to offer. WARPARTY has trialled quite well but most of the debutants have shown ability at trials/jumpouts. Selections: 10,4,8,3 Suggested Bet: Yes Lulu each way Race 4 Competitive race with likely good speed. OUTBACK MISS impressed winning both her starts to date on rain-affected ground and has jumped out in great style to kick off her second prep. AUSTMARR races well on the Lakeside circuit and has a race fitness advantage. MIGHTY didn’t have much luck at her first run for the new stable but looked to have plenty to offer. BUBBLE PALACE has looked typically sharp in her recent jumpouts and will be part of the speed. TANTO, FACE THE JURY and EXPLOSIVE ROSIE have claims. Selections: 7,4,12,6 Suggested Bet: Outback Miss to win Race 5 If YOSEMITE FALLS went too hard in front over 1800m last start and if she’s has come through that run ok, then she’ll be hard to beat. THE REAL THING will be at peak fitness now and has been given a solid ground to step up to 1600m. SUPER SOLAR is fit and consistent. The import DASHO LENNIE will likely improve over further but has trialled up ok to kick off his Australian career. Selections: 7,4,2,1 Suggested Bet: Yosemite Falls to win Race 6 BRAZEN KINGDOM worked home well first up and may settle closer with a slight rise in distance from a favourable draw. BELLE INFERNO broke her maiden in impressive style last start at this trip and shapes as a strong danger. RUBOLOGY also broke his maiden impressively last time and gives the impression 1500m will be ok. ROCKING THE BOAT, GALANO and AMPHACTOR, who resumes gelded, are in the mix. Selections: 1,7,3,6 Suggested Bet: Brazen Kingdom to win Race 7 PATCHOULI DREAM hasn’t run poorly yet and chased a smart one over this course and distance last start. PIA MIA has been back to the jumpouts since her most recent run and may be ridden a touch more conservatively to run out 1200m strongly. LINKS has been freshened and been competitive in stronger races. SHAMMY EXPRESS has looked good in her two runs to date. RETINIR, SENSICAL and SENTOSA have claims. Selections: 3,4,2,7 Suggested Bet: Patchouli Dream each way Race 8 Competitive finish. KAHHOF ran well in what should prove a decent form race last start and Patchouli Dream will have provided a guide on that form in the previous race. KIKO is racing well may hold a spot from the inside draw. NIANCE was given a quiet time in a recent jumpout but looked to have plenty up her sleeve and her NZ form through Sans Doute reads well. TANGO JEWEL will give a sight. FAVOURITE CHILD has been trialling well. DOUBLERN will strip fitter for an encouraging return. Selections: 3,8,6,10 Suggested Bet: KAHHOF each way Market Market
