Manchester City vs Real Madrid

Manchester City come into this match off the back of a hard-fought 1-0 aggregate win over Atletico Madrid, while Real Madrid saw a lot more action in their 5-4 aggregate matchup against Chelsea.

Real Madrid have already tasted victory in England this tournament, beating Chelsea 3-1 at Stamford Bridge, but there’s no denying City pose a new challenge altogether. City are unbeaten in their last 12 matches at home (winning eight) and they are deserved favourites in the opening leg.

Pep Guardiola has a long list of offensive weapons to choose from including Brazilian striker Gabriel Jesus who is coming off a four goal haul in the Premier League. For Real Madrid, Karim Benzema is at the height of his powers and it wouldn’t surprise anyone to see him find the back of the net at some stage.

Liverpool vs Villareal

Anfield will be rocking when Liverpool host the first leg of their Champions League Semi-Finals matchup against Spanish powerhouse, Villareal. Liverpool beat Benfica to book their spot in the final four, while Villareal upset Bayern Munich.

Jurgen Klopp’s men are now unbeaten in their last 10 games across all competitions, with their only defeat this year coming at the hands of Inter Milan. During this run they have scored a whopping 24 goals, including three in each leg of the quarter-finals.

The addition of Colombian striker Luis Díaz has added yet another dimension to a Liverpool attack already boasting Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane, and Diogo Jota. The Reds come into this match in incredible form and knowing full well importance of making the most of home ground advantage.
