The Scout: NFL Week 15 Posted on December 17, 2021December 17, 2021 | Posted by The Scout New England Patriots @ Indianapolis Colts The New England Patriot (9-4) are on a roll and have won seven games in a row while the Indianapolis Colts (7-6) have also been in good form winning four of their last five. Both sides are coming off a bye and will be well rested for what is shaping up to be a very competitive match. The Colts can thank their current good form to running back Jonathon Taylor who leads the league in rushing yards but over 300 yards. Bill Belichick’s Patriots hold the A.F.C. ‘s top seed and have fuelled their seven-game win streak with great defensive structure combined with a sound offensive game. Rookie quarterback Mac Jones has been incredibly efficient while the Patriot’s run game led by Damien Harris and Rhamondre Stevenson has been hard for teams to stop. In a close affair with two teams in incredible form you must take the best coach and that is clearly Bill Belichick. The multiple Superbowl winner will have his Patriots side locked in and will make the necessary plays down the stretch to secure this game. Suggested Bet: Patriots +2 (Line) @ $1.91* Houston Texans vs Jacksonville Jaguars Two of the worst teams in the NFL do battle as the Houston Texans (2-11) take on the Jacksonville Jaguars (2-11). Both sides are on massive losing streaks with the Texans losing their last three while the Jaguars have lost their last five matches. Jaguars coach Urban Meyer’s was dismissed this week which is a positive for Jacksonville who will no longer be led by a tyrannical boss. This could give the Jaguars a huge sense of relief and play with a lot more freedom and confidence knowing they will not be punished if any mistakes are made. Two rookie quarterbacks feature in this match with the Texan’s Davis Mills doing battle with Jaguar’s Trevor Laurence. Despite being tied for most interceptions thrown (14) Laurence will play a lot better now that he doesn’t have to worry about Meyers and I expect him to be the difference maker in this fixture between two struggling sides. Suggested Bet: Jaguars -5 (Line) @ $1.91* New Orleans Saints @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers The Saints (6-7) finally snapped their five-game losing streak with a comfortable 30-9 win over the Jets while their opponents the Buccaneers (10-3) have navigated a tough period and have now won four in a row. New Orleans were boosted by the return of running back Alvin Kamara last week and with their best offensive weapon back on the field they managed to overcome the Jets. This week however Kamara will find it difficult to get space against a Buccaneers defense that allows the third-fewest rushing yards per game (91.2) in the entire league. Tom Brady is 0-3 against the Saints as a member of Tampa Bay but this is going to change as his side is primed for a big win. The Buccaneers will be too good defensively for the Saints who will heavily rely on Kamara to make plays. This falls into Tampa Bay’s strategy nicely and they will be able to limit the run game of the Saints which will give Brady plenty of time on the field to put up some big numbers. Suggested Bet: Buccaneers -10.5 (Line) @ $1.91* *Odds correct as at 12pm, 17th December 2021. Market Market
