Scott Embry’s Thursday Pinjarra Preview Posted on June 8, 2021June 8, 2021 | Posted by Scott Embry RACE 1 STAR STORM maps to get every conceivable hope in this race. Holly Watson takes off 3kg giving weight relief, finds the front and leads without pressure and Holly Watson has a great strike rate when finding the front in races where she can dictate the speed. His race to lose. MY RANI ran through the line well under only niggling pressure from Pike. Looks the danger. ARTIE kept coming first-up. ETHICAL SECRET can roll to the breeze and plug away. Numbers: 4 – 8 – 2 – 1 Suggested Bet – STAR STORM WIN RACE 2 LACIEON may have run into a smart one on debut in My Mate. When Michael Lane wheels them out on debut and the money comes for them it’s usually a good indication that they’re above average and that’s exactly what unfolded. LACIEON ran third and that looks the best form race for this. Blinkers on, drawn a gate, looks hard to beat. ALLEGIANCE was nearly put through the fence on debut and then showed last start in 3yo 0MWLY company that she’ll be winning races. Pateman has to abandon ship due to weight which means it’s a great pick up ride for Jade McNaught. BODELLA ran well on debut. Flat last start. SPRING TO LIFE was great two start ago. Numbers: 7 – 5 – 9 – 1 Suggested Bet – LACIEON WIN RACE 3 FREE SOLO looked fairly one paced first-up at 1400 so naturally the additional hundred metres will be in his favour. Drawn inside so will need the right runs to come for him so that he can wind up into the race. Always promised to win a maiden and gets his chance here in a weak race. STAR SUBJECT went round favourite first-up and didn’t fire a solitary shot. Did work hard and now has shades on. Can be forgiven. KIA ORA JEWEL ran through the line strongly in two 950m trials. Looks a nice type. ART WARRIOR actually battled on quite well recently behind Zaratite. Numbers: 1 – 10 – 12 – 7 Suggested Bet – FREE SOLO WIN RACE 4 SPICED DELIGHT hasn’t been seen for 57 days but on exposed form she looks hard to beat. Is an ideal 1000m type (high speed, drawn on the right side and can hug the outside rail). Finished only 1.5L off Iseered Iseered in a Saturday 3 year old handicap. Reproduces that rating and is awfully hard to beat. DIVINE FLIRT has trialled up nicely, however ill need some luck from an inside draw. KILL THE LIGHTS has 1000m straight experience. ROSEWORTH showed a lot of speed at trials and on debut before stopping abruptly. Numbers: 6 – 14 – 1 – 12 Suggested Bet – SPICED DELIGHT WIN RACE 5 JARMAN was a nice trial at Lark Hill behind Son of Bacchus when hitting the line under a hold from Ryan Hill. Resumed at Kalgoorlie when one of the very few horses on the program to make any noticeable ground on a leader dominated program. Never saw daylight in the Sky Final and with Tiff Has Spoken winning out of that race on Saturday he looks well placed back into a C3. MR MT WALKER has always looked a metro type in the making. Recent trial was strong. BEFFUNJAR hasn’t fired a shot so far this campaign. She’s better than that. SAX ON QUE is going well but hasn’t won for a long while. Numbers: 2 – 3 – 6 – 7 Suggested Bet – JARMAN WIN RACE 6 VERDANDI gets her chance drawn in soft. Showed first-up from a long absence that she has the tactical speed to hold a position in running and was rattling to the line late behind Captain Burglar and Run D’Affair Run. Proven form reference and limited opposition. JAY DEE is a super honest and consistent mare. Always a top 4 chance but in this race looks a legitimate winning chance and hard to beat. DATALKA ran well behind a smart 3 year old in Jedi Mind at Belmont last week. SURRENDER TALKS an improver coming out of tougher races. Numbers: 7 – 6 – 4 – 1 Suggested Bet – VERDANDI WIN RACE 7 STREET FAIR has turned a corner in the last month or so. Was always the type of horse who looked like he could string a few races together, always luckless and always putting in black book performances. Took a long time to win a second race but is starting to look more genuine and trustworthy. Ideally drawn, runs for Chris Parnham and maps to hold a head start on main rivals in running. OVERTHOUGHT never got into the race after meeting with strong market support last start. Keep safe. MAGIC WILL REIGN has been going better than his paper form suggests. BURNING MAGIC can find the top and control. Numbers: 6 – 2 – 1 – 5 Suggested Bet – STREET FAIR WIN Quaddie (Race 4 – 7) 1,2,6,7,12,14 2,3,4,6,7 1,2,4,6,7 2,6 Market Market
