Scott Embry’s Sunday Albany Preview Posted on February 7, 2019 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 ONE POINT LADY simply looks classes above rivals in the opener. Her metro form is super and most of these will only see her in the distance. TRAMONTANE was a huge market move on debut when slow away and finding trouble. Interesting to see how he goes fresh. KRISTELLA was a nice run down the straight first-up. VICIOUS VILMA ran a race fresh. Numbers: 6 – 4 – 9 – 8 Suggested Bet – ONE POINT LADY WIN Race 2 WHAT ABOUT MOSES was only beaten late by stablemate Starorio who looks above average. That pair should be winning plenty of races throughout their careers. ROSE THEIF obviously has a few mental issues, she is very hot headed and difficult to handle but has talent in spades. SURE CONVICTION should get it soft just behind the speed. SO GREAT was a nice run at his first start for a new stable. Numbers: 7 – 10 – 14 – 5 Suggested Bet – WHAT ABOUT MOSES WIN Race 3 YOU AM I was a huge query at 1720m last start but sat in the breeze in a race where the leader smashed the clock. Back in trip, Chris Parnham back on and should get across from the gate. PURE GEM caught the eye 10 days ago and will only improve into the preparation. STARORIO won like a horse with big ability. Barnstorming run late in the piece. READ THE RIOT ACT is in form and Roy Rogers is churning out winners. Numbers: 2 – 3 – 9 – 4 Suggested Bet – YOU AM I WIN Race 4 BUNKER BUSTER is 37 days between runs, first start for a new stable and back in trip but his last 3 starts have all been super impressive and he looks like making a race horse. IONYX got crossed at his most recent and all winning chances went out the door. He will look to come across here. CHASING CHAOS is drawn gate 1 and has the speed to lead if Colgate wants too. CANNA LILLY probably doesn’t quite stick out the staying trip but she’s honest as they come. Numbers: 7 – 5 – 1 – 2 Suggested Bet – BUNKER BUSTER WIN Race 5 POTENT SECRET was only a matter of time before the stable finally unleashed his speed midrace and the old boy can go on with it again here. If he sits in the breeze he goes really close. Roy Rogers 16% last 90 days. CANDLELIGHT STAR comes down to Albany with genuine 72+ form to his name. Off 8 days he can lump a big weight and win. VIKING FORREST on his day is as good as any of the country/provincial sprinters. SENSO looks like being a nice acquisition to Alan McNamara. Numbers: 2 – 1 – 3 – 5 Suggested Bet – POTENT SECRET WIN Race 6 MALILANGWE was $4.4 into $2.40 first-up and duly saluted for his loyal followers. His trial was enormous and the win fresh was excellent. Form has already been franked and he can win again. MORGS FREEMAN only won a maiden but looks really progressive and has a turn of foot. STEP RIGHT UP finally took a step in the right direction for Bec Wallrodt. EVERASREADY is always a place chance. Numbers: 2 – 5 – 4 – 6 Suggested Bet – MALILANGWE WIN Race 7 DEALING should find the front here as long as he jumps. If he gets crossed it will make things interesting but he is a nice stayer in the making and these Alban staying events have been weak all season. TRIPLE EXPRESS comes out of a Kojonup Cup. She is worth a nibble at huge odds. DRIVIN ME WILD won well for Percy Turner four starts ago and has been competing in harder. MASS EFFECT has no excuse from the draw. Numbers: 1 – 13 – 4 – 2 Suggested Bet – DEALING WIN Race 8 RED ARMY AND PRYING TOM had great battles throughout the winter and the two top weights definitely look capable of fighting it out here. RED ARMY has been beaten a fair way in two fast run races behind Wrinkly. Gets the chance to balance and wind up here for Cups King aka little brother. PRYING TOM was huge in the Group 1 Kingston Town but form has tapered since. HES A PARKER is going from strength to strength and this is a nice race for him on the minimum. THE BIG SHOW will have Pateman sweating bullet trains to get to 55.5 and the faster they go the better for him. Numbers: 1 – 2 – 8 – 3 Suggested Bet – RED ARMY WIN Race 9 COLD AS COLD will concede the leaders a huge head start but the way he has been winning has been nothing short of breath taking. Watching him fly late in a high speed race. LADY STINGRAY is always there abouts and should get a nice midfield run from the gate. ITS NOT TRADING has been going exceptionally well this preparation and can continue on. WICKED HUNTER looked home last start before putting the brakes on. Numbers: 3 – 14 – 2 – 8 Suggested Bet – COLD AS COLD WIN Quaddie (Race 6 – 9) 2 1 1,2,3,8 FLD Market Market
