Race 1

GLOBAL RULER made a nice return to racing behind the speedy Nemiroff down the 1000m straight at Pinjarra Park. Harvey making the trip to York gives the push and he should have him outside the leader. LUKE’S CHOICE backs up off 7 days and has 4 good runs on the board. SPORTY SPICE should get a soft run from the draw. DOLCITY can improve back round a bend.

Race 2

TALENT SCHOOL nearly gave rookie trainer Campbell McCullum his first winner at her WA debut and she should be the kind of mare suited to the York track.  Noske on and should lead. APPARITION was solid behind a ridiculously slow speed first-up. SHERA KHAN seems to find ways to get beat but deserves one. GOLDEN TRIGGER is always there abouts but lacks a killer blow.

Race 3

FLIRTY FRAIRS won’t get a better opportunity than this to break his maiden status. Rock hard fit and nobody rides York and Narrogin and the tighter tracks better than Ryan Hill. BLACK RUSSIAN may be first up at 1920m but he looks progressive and will stay all day. The big danger. CONTENTIONAL has almost run out of chances. Another gear change and an inside draw. SUDAN out to a trip the improver.

Race 4

FAMILY DISCUSSION was a little disappointing on face value last start when failing to make much of an impression. Effort previous to that was very good and can be forgiven after Pinjarra looked very leader dominated. ZEPHYR QUEEN will be looking to cross straight to the fence and provide some extra Mojito Money to a travelling Tina Taylor. REGAL CHANT is looking for further but trialed well. PRIZED NEMSIS has enough ability to win and Pateman might be cleaning the pool for the in-laws if he gets caught deep.

Race 5

MAGIC PLANET jumped under $5 in a Saturday 3 year old race which featured boom filly and Westspeed record holder Market Ruler. The 1200 may be a query but this is a big drop in class. MISS SWINDLE will come across from an awkward gate and is in form. ORANGE STRUDEL is drawn to lead or box seat and so far undefeated at the track. DAWN MISSION is very well placed by an astute stable but likely to get back.

Suggested Bet – MAGIC PLANET WIN

Race 6 

DEALING jumps and controls the tempo and really should be very hard to run down. His first-up win was strong fending off a subsequent winner and then was only nailed on the line in a fast run race by a mare who ran well in Saturday grade thereafter. CROSLEY HOTSHOT is a bit of X-factor in the race. Still a little unknown form wise and they put the blinkers back on. FROSTY HEART should be almost ready. I’M A LOVE MAN improves at the trip and the stable is hot.

Race 7

SCARLET MISSILE sports the new silks for the first time and drops out of a 60+ back into a weak 52+. Has shown excellent speed and this is the most winnable race of the preparation. Expect big support as soon as markets open and her to be very hard to beat. MISSING PRO only comes from a weak Narrogin maiden but is a horse worth following. THUNDERPLUMP ended up in a horror position over the 930. Hit the line well. PEARL GIRL will rattle late.

Race 8

REBELLIONAIRE has only won the 1 race from 13 starts but this is almost his easiest assignment of his career. He is drawn to get every possible chance and is running out of chances. REGAL COUNSEL was unable to reel in the leaders in a fast run race last start. Draws wide and claiming apprentice on. Risky. ICECRUSHER will get back as is her normal racing pattern. Comes hard late. BLACK SMUGGLER on his day could win this.
