Trent’s Gloucester Park Preview Posted on March 23, 2017 | Posted by Trent Cooper Trent Cooper’s Preview Race 1: INTERSPORT SLATER GARTRELL MS PACE ARGYLE RED (8) has won two of his last four, including an all the way win in quick time but was beaten in the same role as a $1.20 favourite last start. He has shown that he can produce a big finish and should give a great sight. FOXY DAME (6) continues to race well and will be suited by a likely strong early tempo. WIMBALIRI (4) is yet to break through in WA but has shown ability with three 2nds in his five runs. EXTREME DREAMS (2) could be a big improver if he finds the top tonight. Tips: 8 6 4 2 Suggested Bet: ARGYLE RED (8) to win. Race 2: INTERSPORT SLATER GARTRELL MS PACE TWOANDAHALF TIGERS (5) had been racing consistently without much luck but found the front last week and impressed in running home in 55.8 to hold off Galactic Star. He has drawn the best of the main chances tonight and that makes him the one to beat. BUNGALOW BILL (7) sat outside AMERICAN BOY (9) when a gallant 2nd to that pacer before finding Kiwi Legend too good last start and will be in the finish again. AMERICAN BOY (9) is the other winning hope but is drawn poorly. LORD LOMBO (1) is a place chance. Tips: 5 7 9 1 Suggested Bet: TWOANDAHALF TIGERS (5) to win. SuperPick - Race 2 No. 5 TWOANDAHALF TIGERS - Money Back – Run 2nd Race 3: INTERSPORT SLATER GARTRELL THE CLARKE QUALIFYING HEAT 3 MACHRIHANISH (2) has been racing well, winning two of his last four and was far from disgraced when working hard to find the front when 4th in the Bridgetown Cup on Sunday. He looks a good chance to find the top here and would be hard to catch. LIVURA (11) resumes from a spell without a trial but was placed at 17 of his last 18 and should be thereabouts again. AUSSIE DELIGHT (10) was an impressive winner last start and can play a part with luck. JAMES GALLEON (4) is back in form and must be considered. Tips: 2 11 10 4 Suggested Bet: MACHRIHANISH (2) to win. Race 4: INTERSPORT SLATER GARTRELL DISCRETIONARY HANDICAP SS PACE IM MASTER CHARLIE (5) has hit top form and beat a stronger field in the Bridgetown Cup at his last start. He has missed away from the stand before but only has to go away with them to be the one to beat. TOMMY BE GOOD (3) was a good stand winner two starts back and a repeat performance would see him as the main danger. FALSE PROMISE (9) and PERFECT MACH (11) are both racing consistently and will be running on if there is a solid tempo. Tips: 5 3 9 11 Suggested Bet: IM MASTER CHARLIE (5) to win. Race 5: INTERSPORT SLATER GARTRELL WESTBRED FINAL MS PACE AMERICANBOOTSCOOTA (1) has finished 2nd at his first two starts back from a spell and gets his chance tonight. He looks the leader and should run sectionals that will make him very hard to catch. MILITARY MASTER (2) has been having great battles with MISTER VERSACE (4) and is the 2nd pick by virtue of his barrier advantage over that pacer, who looks the only other winning chance. DEBT FREE CHARLIE (8) is racing very well but will find it tough from out here. Tips: 1 2 4 8 Suggested Bet: AMERICANBOOTSCOOTA (1) to win. Race 6: INTERSPORT SLATER GARTRELL MS PACE BETTORS FIRE (9) was a gallant 6th in the Inters Final and finished just behind the placegetters in The Fremantle Cup. He is clearly the class runner of the field and has warmed up for this with a good Byford trial win but does have a wide gate. IMA CONNOISSEUR (6) also raced during the Inters and should improve further this campaign and would be hard to catch if he led. TUXEDO TOUR (1) is first up and could be a big improver after one run for Olivieri. CONDRIEU (3) hasn’t had much luck and can play a part if he crosses at the start. Tips: 9 6 1 3 Suggested Bet: BETTORS FIRE (9) to win. Race 7: INTERSPORT SLATER GARTRELL WESTERN GATEWAY PACE MITCH MAGUIRE (1) is probably the state’s best 3YO and led throughout to win in great style last week. He has the pole tonight and it is hard to make a case for him being beaten. ROCK DIAMONDS (2) ran on from midfield to finish 3rd to MITCH MAGUIRE (1) last week and is drawn better here. EL BARCELONA (8) and HERRICK ROOSEVELT (9) are two talented geldings from the Hall camp and can be placed despite their wide draws. Tips: 1 2 8 9 Suggested Bet: MITCH MAGUIRE (1) to win. Race 8: INTERSPORT SLATER GARTRELL MS PACE MISTER ARDEE (3) has been racing consistently in the Great Southern and was a good 3rd to Im Mister Charlie in stronger company in the Bridgetown Cup. He is well drawn and will give a great sight if he brings that form to town. ALL THE TORQUE (1) has led at his last three for two 2nds and should lead and be thereabouts again. LILBITACHICKNFRIED (10) has his first start in WA and is drawn to get the run of the race. GOOD TIMES AHEAD (2) beat MISTER ARDEE (3) two starts back and must be considered. Tips: 3 1 10 2 Suggested Bet: MISTER ARDEE (3) to win. Race 9: INTERSPORT SLATER GARTRELL 3YO FILLIES MS PACE RED HOT ROXY (7) has won 7 of her 10 race starts and has been dominant in winning all three of her starts this campaign. This field has more depth and she is drawn wide but is still clearly the one to beat. IM STYLISH (1) had a nice run but was impressive in sprinting over the top of them in a quick last half and must be considered from the pole. SOHO ANGEL (3) has shown plenty in her three WA starts and must be considered. SALACIOUS GOSSIP (2) was a good 3rd to RED HOT ROXY (7) before beating a weaker field and looks a good place chance. Tips: 7 1 3 2 Suggested Bet: IM STYLISH (1) each way. Race 10: INTERSPORT SLATER GARTRELL MS PACE KHUN RATHA (7) was a solid 4th to Shardons Rocket in stronger company before breaking through at Narrogin and can overcome the draw in a very even contest. FRANCO JOAQUIN (1) looks the leader and will give them something to catch again. NOTHING IN BETWEEN (11) is on the improve and must be considered on his 3rd here last week. HILO REX (10) should get a lovely run and could represent good each way value. Tips: 7 1 11 10 Suggested Bet: HILO REX (10) each way. Bet Now
